Perhaps. But she did do a fair bit to cultivate and probably pushed Brock to achieve what he did in the late 70s and early 80s. The Brock story might have been very different without Bev there.

Vale Bev Brock. She did so much for Peter. And yet, for many years now, I don't think he always appreciated it. What tipped me off was the Bridgestone TV ad where she says, "There's no stopping you, my love." From the moment I heard it, it seemed to come from a place of great bitterness. Later, we heard about Julie Bamford.
