Hey Quill, love that you have picked up this one for the channel! Still watching the vid, but I thought I'd answer this: the number you see in the driver stats screen is what is actually occurring. The -2 is being applied to make a 0 for William's Overtaking; however, I believe the game caps out at 0, so it could mean he is a 0, 1 or 2 in that regard. Stats like wet weather struggler or good at qualifying are not shown, and are applied when those criteria are met. Predator is a hard slog but with decent race management and patience it can be done.

With regards to tire camber, it's better for tighter corners - it induces oversteer in the car which is a nightmare on faster corners which there is a lot of at the Black Sea.

I wouldn't have fixed the cars in that extra stop, just run them and hope for the best. You have a good shot at picking up a free place or two, especially that the cars weren't quite dead. Also note that if you fall down a lap that you don't have to do it unless you repass the leader. As such always pay closer attention to the ticker at the bottom of the screen as well as where you are in relation to the finish line and the leader.

Nice to see this back on the channel. BTW - race ends when first place crosses the line. If you are 2 laps down, you don't go for 2 more laps. You just go until the next time you cross the finish line. As such, you lost a 16th place finish because of that last lap pit stop.

If you're creating an engine or any other part for endseason carryover and aren't actually planning on using it, you can fit it with illegal mods to improve the performance greatly. Engines have the biggest impact on actual race performance by a margin.

@@ungface Basically, the idea is that in the off-season, the engineers work to bring it in-spec. It isn't a design oversight, it's essentially planning for the future by sacrificing current performance. Think of it more like a prototype.

Ungface I know this is a month old, but Mercedes does this all the time, saves the engine for the next year and then fit them onto their current cars, while selling their old engines to teams like Williams.

Dude I bought the game 2 days ago, went predator racing, season 1 best 13th x2 no changes to drivers or staff. Season 2 just started same drivers, better staff and upgrades HQ, only done season opener had Santa Ana and the Williams in 3rd and 4th, williams gearbox blew 2 laps from finished coasted home to 11th, santa Ana P4. Love an underdog story

I remember actually winning one race in the first season with Predator - the race started with rain falling soon after. Everyone had intermidiate tires, a few even went with soft, while I went with wet tires from the start. Both drivers ended up around 30sec ahead of everyone :D

Just for some added info: You don't finish all your laps if you have been lapped. The race ends when the winner completes the amount of laps and everyone else's race then ends when they pass the finish line. So if you were lapped 5 times you are going to run 5 laps less than the winner. Referring to roughly 41:00

The max of a part matters because what gets transferred is the stat it is at the end of the season. So the +15 to max is more valuable at the end then +10 up.

how feasible is it to try this same underdog challenge as a total beginner to the game? Quill has really peaked my interest and I love an underdog story.

One thing is that your top part at the end of a season for a given type that carries over dos not take any illigeal makers with it so you can make it with as many of those as you want. Also to save money just make one bedst of each type fpr end pf season. As the bedst of each type is the base stats when making a new part in the new season, what the worst one is dos not matter.

I know that Playsport Games has actually made 3 mobile versions, plus an online variant. I assume that this doesn't translate to the computer, but they are still loads of fun. Fun fact: On the online mobile game, your starting racers are the same two that Predator starts with, and you are encouraged to dump Evans after the intro race.
