I have just ordered the Ateca Xperience Lux automatic. Delivery won't be until late March/early April due to the chip shortage, but looking forward to it. The most expensive car I have ever bought!

Good choice and must be frustrating having to wait so long but all manufacturers are having this problem 😳, will be on the new ref as well

@@DamoDrives I'm in the fortunate position of having other wheels (a 1967 Morris Traveller and a 1987 Ford Capri) so the pressure to change the car (from a Zafira) wasn't immediate. I've noticed that the chip shortage has pushed second hand values for the Ateca higher as people want their car quickly; over the weekend a 2020 Xperience with 24k on the clock was on Autotrader for over 6K more than I'm paying new. Streuth! Keep up the videos, they are really enjoyable and interesting.

I just bought this XPerience model with all the possible extras, including the electric towbar. Expensive at €50,000 (Irish prices, God help us with their taxes!). I am delighted with it. The infotainment/SatNav system takes a bit of getting used to. Your review is very informative. Keep up the good work.😊😊

I bought the 1.5 Xperience Lux about a month ago, replacing a 1.4 Xcellence from 2017. The new version improves on the old one in every way, with the exception of the infotainment usability. It just feels like a more solid and safe car without losing any of the driving experience. Incredibly happy with my purchase, and I enjoyed your review despite the Xperience/Xcellence confusion 😳.

I have ordered an Ateca Xperience 1.5 auto from Hendys in Brighton. It went into build last week so I am hoping to get it in about 5 or 6 weeks. Looking forward to getting it, great review makes a change to see some of the features like the infotainment and cruise shown as well as the other stuff.

Ooo Hendy in Brighton. Great at selling absolutely rubbish for after care. Customer service was rude. Beware!

@@DamoDrives yeh Mrs bought a car from a worthing dealership and had an engine problem since buying it. We spent months trying to get it sorted from Hendy, they tried fixing it 8 times and still the problem wasn't fixed. At the end they just said they couldn't determine the problem. I'll never buy a car from there.

Excellent video Damo. I will probably go for the Tiguan or the Qashqai because I need a heated steering wheel option due to medical reasons. And I don't believe the Ateca has one. Everything else on it looks super.

Great video...very informitive ...more of a deep dive than most review videos i've seen ...we're due to change cars in the coming months and right now its a toss up between the seat ateca the skoda karoq and enyaq models ...although after watching this i'm leaning more to the ateca ..👍

Nice looking car and in some respects representing better value for money than its siblings from VW and Skoda, though residuals may not be as strong. Good comprehensive review as always Damian, usual quality videography and well judged content.

Good review overall but going forward I would make sure that you have the right information re spec etc. Some of the things you mentioned might end up confusing buyers. I see from some of the other comments you realised you kept saying the wrong trim level referring to it as Xcellence when it is in fact Xperience. Also you said the infotainment screen is 12.5”. The 2021 Ateca only gets a minor increase in screen size from the previous model with the largest screen being 9.2” and the digital cockpit being 10.2”. Also there is no button to press under the centre armrest . Just some observations from a current Ateca driver. Keep up the reviews!

Thank you for all of your feedback. I think it was only the name of the trim level which was wrong and not the features. Yes the size is wrong so my bad. I checked my notes when I got back home and had written the correct trim level but got it in my head the wrong name lol.

@@DamoDrives From facelift forward, SEAT changed "Xcellence" into "Xperience", even though Xperience was reserved for the rugged 4x4 versions of Leon estate. It still means the more luxury of the two top trims, FR being the other, sporty trim.

Sorry Seat, but you still don’t have heated rear seats in 2021 ?? For me is it big fail !! Skoda Karoq have this for 176€ and USB for security camera for 76€ 👎🏻

I am really really careful when driving and always ensure the area is clear. I do a lot of walking with my dog on these type of roads so know the risk and would never put anyone or anything at risk

Was around 40mpg but I did not reset the trip so it sure if that’s a true reflection. All of the details about the model were correct just wrote down the name of the model incorrectly. What irrelevant ‘stuff’ are you thinking of, might not be relevant to you but this is my style of video and what is important to me and a number of others as well but constructive feedback is always welcome. Yes I do watch my videos back during an edit then a preview version as well. Not all videos are going to be for everyone but thank you for any feedback
