I don't know if this is quite the right place for recommending mods, but perhaps the crew could consider the "Arcade steering mod" on the BeamNG forums for future BeamMP videos. It overhauls the steering input for BeamNG to act and respond more naturally to the car's handling, which greatly benefits controllers to achieve constant steering feedback and correction, and becomes more intuitive to drive on the limit. The installation process is a bit more manual, requiring the user to go to BeamNG's main Steam directory and replacing a file, but it can be disabled with its config file. I reckon it would be a great addition to have for the group as you can appreciate more of the driving dynamics and characteristics of the car and the physics on controllers, much like on most modern driving titles. It is really impressive how much more forgiving cars behave on controllers.
