The loss of both Clifford and Davey Allison was a crushing blow to the Nascar community,For Bobby Allison to suffer such an unthinkable tragedy and still have the courage to continue being involved in the sport speaks volumes about the great man he is.

That was quite an emotional show, and Kyle was humble and open about his feeling's for the Allison brothers and the loss if the three boys. It was quite hard at the end to watch the emotions on their faces.

I grew up watching Richard Petty and Bobby Allison race, and later Kyle and Davey. I got to meet Bobby, Davey, and Kyle back in the 80’s. Both families were my favorites. In the summer of 91, I was dealing with a bout with cancer at age 18. I saw Bobby at an autograph session and he talked with me a little bit about what I was going through. He gave me words of encouragement and advice. Just a genuinely nice guy. I have never forgotten that moment. Losing Clifford and Davey as a race fan was hard. Years later, when it was announced that Adam was going to move up, I was excited and then the crash happened. Felt for Kyle and Patty as I did for Bobby and Judy. Watching this episode was fun but sad too. These two families contributed heavily to my racing memories. I’m glad that they had this episode.

I agree. Kyle Petty is a walking Nascar Encyclopedia. It started with him as a baby being at the track and it has never ended. It's been his whole life and he has so much to over in stories that have never been told. I'd love to see a coffee with Kyle that has Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, The Allisons, Darrell Waltrip and any other drivers of that era all together. Especially since Kyle also raced against them all makes it even more interesting. He has seen them through the eyes of a kid to the eyes of a competitor....

Kyle I'm about 6 months older than you. While you grew up with a racing family, I grew up watching and IDOLIZING your family. When your Dad took down the pit wall at Darlington and me watching it on ABC Wide World of Sports I was HOOKED! My point is, I've lived as close as possible to know as much as I could about The Pettys! CRIED for years over Adam! My 2 daughters called me that day worried about me! Even my ex- wife was concerned! This interview is beyond words! Touching doesn't give it enough credit for what it means to me!! Thank You and God for KZbin! P.S. Saw Stroker Ace last night again! lol Loved your cameo! Big thumbs UP!!! Long Live the PETTYS!!!

I'm a Canadian and been a Nascar fan for over 50 years. I can still see Bobby Allison flying his own plane into Cayuga (now Jukasa) Speedway in Ontario Canada to race a few special races driving the Chevy Coke machine. Most everyone ran on the bottom there but Bobby ran around the top and set a new track record. I remember shaking Bobby's hand every time he was there. Just a great guy! When i think about the pain i still feel when i remember the awesome young Sons these men lost, it's impossible to believe they survived it all. Bless these 3 men for the pain they still have and for all the enjoyment they still give us today.

Awesome! I was so fortunate to have sat down with Bobby in Daton Ohio for an hour or more at an autograph signing session, I just happened to be up there on Air Force business it was a fluke that I was even there. It was one of the most memorable times of my life. He says to me and my friend "Why don't you guys come back here and set with me". Of course we did. Awesome stories were told. It was a short time after Davey passed. I had small children back in Florida that we had been talking about. When we were ready to go Bobby looked at me and grabbed my hand and told me no matter what cherish your kids and hug them every chance you get. That was a long hand shake. I will never forget it. Great memories. Thanks! I still have Bobby's business card.

Oh my?? It was 50 maybe 52 years ago I was 6-8 years old my dad got me a Aurora race track aj foyt 24 hrs at LeMans Bobby & Donnie race cars Richard Petty. So many tracks I had growing up!!! I really enjoyed this video or coffee with Kyle episode. Ty so much you brought back great memories. My uncle raced stock cars and on Wednesday's we'd take the car up to NH and run the car to prepare for sat night. I sponsored my uncle tires and I was allowed to run the car around the track on wednesdays lol. 2 barrel carbs 450 hp 3 speed standard lol my uncle would get up and say go slow till I tell you to go faster.... omg so many memories growing up a d I spun her around in turn 3.
