And to think, I almost sold my tastefully customized (but easily reverted to stock) 2007 gxp with all the original parts available for 6k just because I wanted room in my garage. If I wouldn’t have had two folks flake at the last minute… I’m be crying on the inside right now. Absolutely love the car

This thing is fun! I have one and GM left a ton of power on the table with their first direct injection engine. A simple run can get you healthily above 300 with no mechanical upgrades or changes in reliability save a need for spark plugs every 12k instead of 90-100k. Mine is making 340 on an RPM stage 1 tune. Throw some minor upgrades in such as injectors and a fuel rail, you can get closer to 400 out of this 4 cylinder. In an age GM was questionable, the 2 solstice power plants were some of their finest work (the base 2.4NA isn’t powerful but it’ll run till the Lord returns)

Great to see. I had always wondered why the GXP wasn’t reviewed when new.

Was this a Fiero but renamed the Solstice?
@chandlerbrickenden73226 ай бұрын
No. Completely unrelated cars mechanically.

Fiero rear engine! Pontiac solstice front engine! Totally different cars. The only comparison, they both have two doors.

$14,000 used in 2024 is a rip off for a defunct brand and questionable support. Used car dealers are taking advantage of buyers. Trade in value in excellent condition is $4,500. Fair market value is $9,400. Don't get ripped off when buying these used.

Not true… the Pontiac Solstice & Saturn Sky have an enthusiast following/support with 18yr old forums, Facebook groups & web sites. Rare cars that have not been produced for almost 15 years with the performance and sports car essence that still turns heads today will have a place in American car history. 😂Stay away from kbb when it comes to rare or enthusiast cars. I agree that dealers will rip people off! BUT, used car dealers do not control the price in 2024 as they did in 2020. The limited supply and desire from the consumer on rare cars of any ilk sets the price. ANY item is only worth the selling price and not the asking price!

You need to do some research! In 2024 a Pontiac solstice GXP in good shape is going to cost around $14,000 or more all day long. A low mile excellent condition Pontiac solstice GXP $14,000 to $18,000. The value of the Pontiac solstice goes up every year, especially the GXP models! It's obvious your statement is just from your feelings not facts! Not to mention the 1200 rare coupes that were built! Some of these can be worth up to $80,000. A coupe with 40,000 Miles will cost $30,000 or more! If you can buy a Pontiac solstice GXP in decent shape for $4,000, you better buy all you find, great money maker! 😊

M@@onetrue5xbeter941absolutely love my 2008 Pontiac aggressive red GXP. It has a trifecta performance tune, aftermarket charge tubes, high flow cat, drop-in k&n air filter. My car will outrun a 2004 and older Corvette through the 1/4 mile all day, extremely fun to drive. 😊
