Just bought a 15 2.4L awd yesterday. I'm 6'5" and usually have to have my seat all the way back. But I actually had to move it up a notch or 2. It is definitely way bigger than they lead you to believe by calling it a compact. It is just as wide inside as my 06 monte carlo, which is on the impala platform and is considered a medium or large car depending on where you look. The traverse was a HUGE suv. This one is a very good size.

Even when GM tries to do something good people still bash them. The Ecotec is the engine Gm needed to produce for years but didn't they are quiet low maintence no timing belt to change and have proven reliable. The new equinox is a step in the right direction as gm actually tries to build a decent interior and modernize their products. Take that from someone who drives his grandmothers 1989 Pontiac 6000 with the 2.5 iron duke that has 180000 miles on it now still runs great everything works!

the only thing I needed to get fixed on mine were the rotors and I got that done for half price cause the former owner of mine didn't get the rotors fixed before they got rid of it

@@jimmbobb I'm loving the ride quality on my 2016 (with the 2.4L and AWD) it has 221k miles i just bought it lol. hopefully it'll last at least another 100k miles

@jnsleeper1 No...But you can add it yourself. If you want trailering from the factory, it requires the V6 upgrade (which requires the 18" wheel upgrade as well..but well worth it)

I've probably said it a thousand times.....American car companies can do it better than anybody. It just took a big scare and a wakeup call to make it happen again. GM, Ford, Chrysler...all of them...have long had the technology to kill the competition in engineering and design. Too bad they allowed complacency to prevail for so long, but now that they've buckled down the future looks much better.

Your S10 is VERY old though...New technology has come into play, and GM was getting 190hp out of a n/a 4cyl in the early 1990's (Olds W41 Quad 4)....But power went back dowin the late 90's with the Twin Cam, but GM has always had 4cyl's in the 150-180hp range

I really like this and to tell the truth i like this better than the cadillac srx and gmc terrain.....wats wit all these newer MOTORS IN CARS TODAY...u have to rev the hell out of them to get the HOGS TO MOVE....thats the only negative i have with todays cars....i dont care how fast it gets to 60-100 when i got to the mountains that dont matter POWER DO... TORQUE IS THE KEY and horsepower next...

You people dont read do you. MANY 6-speed automatics drive just like that. Dont know how to make up their mind. Happens in my mom's Mercury Mariner. As for rough noise and acceleration, have you personally driven one? The 4 cyl is very quiet, and acceleration is quite good. How fast do you expect it to get to 60?? 5 seconds?? Its a 4 CYLINDER!!

Ive heard this thing has alot of problems already. Bad transmission as it struggles to change from gear to gear, noisy engine, and rough exceleration is all models.
