This why I love MotorWeek. Putting a cargo van on the track to find 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. You guys are the best!

.....the relevance? It's adequate.. The numbers would suffice.

Nothing comes close to MotorWeek reviews. Especially now that they are adding all the old videos we used to watch 30 years ago. I would pay a subscription if they had one. Access to all that information is priceless.

Odd that Tire Rack should be a sponsor, they don't have tires for my 2006 sprinter 118" wheelbase

wow...he was pretty excited about that interior...

the first thing you have to do when you buy a sprinter is pump it full with undercoating and wax, or else you can see them rust away.

What is the best engine oil for this truck?

I have one. The DEF system is faulty and MB has no clue how to fix them. They will go into a "countdown mode" meaning you only have 10 starts left. MB can re set this but do not know how to stop them from doing it. This is a well known problem with sprinters with the bluetec diesel.

chip leach this problem will keep me away. Sadly I love everything else about it

2A556FMJ everything else about the vans are very good. However, I'm an expediter and make my living driving my van. This DEF problem has nearly put me and many others out of business.

chip leach so what van do u recommend. I'm planning on converting it to a mobile home

chip leach that must be hardwork but also really cool. I used to drive vans (like the sprinter and other european vans - renault master, vw lt, iveco, Ford transit) delivering tools and equipment to contruction sites. It didnt pay much but did get me through university and forever sealed my liking of panel vans. The last sprinter i drove was in 2008 as a loaner and that really brought some nice memories back, even though the genre has come a long way. I remember driving ford duallys without power steering, rev counter or even a radio!

Wasn't even aware they also rebadge them as Frieghtliners as well.

I actually like these... they'll easily outlast anything from the domestic brands... FedEx keeps em until they reach 300k-350k miles, and then they'll go 100k more (:

I heard this is half assembled in Germany then shipped to the states for final assembly and all this just avoid the chicken tax lol

Wish my work would buy these. But they are too fucking cheap to buy something that will last. I am getting sick of driving Chevy Express vans, and E-150s. As much of a Ford guy I am, the E-150 is horrid, sits too high, extremely rough ride, digital readout is ONLY for mileage, and nothing to keep the side cargo door from shutting from a light breeze, and even with a V8 it has no acceleration. Hate to say the Chevy Vans are far superior. Heck I would just like to have the larger Transit than a Sprinter to be honest.

I bought an SL55 not too long ago and my boss heard about it and seemed interested in it. Now if I can convince him that the Sprinter is the SL55 of moving catering dishes he just might so be inclined! We can dream.

It's a VAN, not a limousine. Don't expect a fancy interior because you won't get one. It will last for hundreds of thousands of miles, though.
