He did the same in Lommel in de last race of the mxon, fell on lap 1 and started as last rider, was in some laps almost 10 seconds faster than #222 who led the race. I was a spectator at both races, it's insane, he has time to pull a tearoff on the most brutal sandwhoop sections... Everyone else would die doing that 😂

I wish they'd find a way to combine the series between the MXGP and the US Nationals. If they could do 4 races a year, 2 in the States, 2 wherever the MXGP wants, and pay out points according to each series (e.g., if the best American finishes 3rd but ahead of the US riders, he gets 25 points), it would be awesome. Fans would get to see the best of each series, and the field would be stacked with fast.

I raced motocross for 15yrs and I was a great rider with many state championships and a decent amount of contingency earned since its all my dad and sponsors had me race every weekend was contingency. I raced a lot of other fast guys and watched a lot of fast guys but I never saw anyone as fast as Herlings. Only person I can compare to being so dominant was Travis Pastrana (who had the same instructor as I did which was Gary Bayle) when Travis was on 85cc and 125cc. Travis use to let the gate drop and sit there until everyone got half way around the track before he would take off and this was a gate full of great Cernics Suzuki riders like Brandon Jesseman, Gene Stahl, Matt Hill, and others who were some of the best to come out of Cernics in Western Pennsylvania
