I own a fiat linea T-jet 2015 (114 bhp)model and the driving dynamics and performance is great. Any one who has done a test drive of the linea t-jet will never go for another vehicle because of its good performance and all other aspects. The clutch was so light that it was a pleasant surprise.

The service cost is very low. No need to change oil for 15000 kms. Usual service is only yearly

Watching this in 2022 march, thought of buying Fiat Linea classic 125s Petrol variant 2016 model, Single owner, 68k km driven, rate also fine only but my only concern is the mileage, they’re saying it is giving 15 per litre but definitely that won’t be true, please give suggestion whether to go for this car or not

I am proud owner of Fiat Linea T jet 2016 and Palio GTX 1.6. I test drove Vento, Rapid, before taking one for Linea 2 minutes in test drive on an open road turbo kicked in and I had that smile on my face. At 11.50 On Road its a steal drives like a car which belongs to much higher segment. Indians have really lost out on a true beast. Once you drive fiat nothing comes close at that price point 88k km done multiple trips between Mumbai pune enjoyed every second of its outstanding driving dynamics and comfort. No issues faced with service

Ford aspire , Honda Amaze at same price range easily bops old fiat Linea , fiat is using same engine for pretty long time , they need to upgrade , this 125s is very moderTe upgrades

Honda amaze and Ford aspire are sub 4 metre they are not perfect sedan has 1.2 litre petrol engine. Its city which u should talk about for a t jet comparison and 1.5 ivtec..no car can match fiat suspension..u will know after driving this car side by side with other sedans. Volkswagen vento will have same build and performance but suspension fiat is more superior and spacious rear seat with best under thigh support which many sedan lacks

Dhana Sekar NK If there is a nearby Fiat showroom, go ahead with the Punto.. It's a but better hatchback when compared to Swift.. It's not that Swift is bad, but Punto has set the bar in terms of performance and quality in the affordable hatchback sector..

Don't get fooled by the sales numbers, Swift is a very average car. Forget Swift, no car in its segment can match Punto Evo's drive and handling dynamics even now. Polo comes close, but poor backseat space and average steering feedback let it down.

Ajeem Hussain agreed, punto Evo is good hatch. Only issue with fiat is their service and credibility on long run. So the next best hatch should be selected.

Fiat should launch their Tipo sedan soon India if they want to stay relevant with the competition. Fiat is a brand that can turn around things for themselves if there is a will to understand the Indian market. They also need to introduce their global best sellers in India. There's saying one who buys a Fiat always buys a Fiat but that doesn't seems true in the India market, which I hope would change in the near future if they got the sentiment of the India customer right.

Nicely done vid. Good coverage but I think you overstated the mileage per liter or reported a combined average of city + highway. Should be around 11 in the city and 17 on the highway with a sane driving style.

Thanks for writing in, the mileage as tested is what we have described. City and highway driving conditions vary hence you may have found another result while ours is an average based on varying conditions.

Even the Abarth couldn't save the Fiat brand..........Fiat really needs a game changing product like Tiago and zest for Tata, Duster for Renault, ecosport for ford,etc. By launching the linea again they are just pushing themselves towards the edge or maybe they have already fallen and trying to fall more deeper. Maybe Jeep could make a market for Fiat.

As per my information Jeep Compass is costing around 25 lakhs & with direct competition with Tuscon who already have upper hand in term of brand value & sale+service network where FIAT is too far I am living in PUNE city which is one of major city in INDIA so number of FIAT show room is 01 .After discussion with many people increasing FIAT network is not at all possible in PUNE city & i personally thought that same situation in rest of cities.

sir my friend thinking of CNG car for daily commute of around 60 km in pune city only so which is better alto 800 cng oR alto k10 cng can you give detail advice on these topic?

The Alto 800 CNF will give a better fuel efficiency however the Alto K10 has a slightly more powerful engine, so the K10 will get a better pick up. If the Daily commute is 60kms we suggest a petrol version as it has less ware and tear and a better engine life. All petrol versions will get a better performance in terms of acceleration.

Actually sir the average speeds on Indian city roads is 35kmph according to reliable estimates. The biggest benefit you will get on the Alto K10 over the Alto 800 is a reduction in lag when the aircondition is turned on. In the Alto 800 there is a big difference when you are driving with the AC on and when it is off. This however is almost seamless in the Alto K10.

Sir considering current sale figure of FIAT india do you think that company can survive over the period of time for example FIAT has only one showroom for pune city where yearly turnover is less than 30 Lakhs of rupee also if you check cost of FIAT vehicle then it has too high to buy & no guaranty of sphere part availability so considering such factor does it is worth to buy linea 125 over Honda city or MS Ciaz oR Verna ?

Every business does an evaluation of how well their products will do in a particular market, after all competition in a country like India is quite high. Yes Fiat has invested in India and will continue to do so, they have also brought in their premium brand Jeep. An overall strategy and product update is expected and should be around the corner. For now I would say, if after sales is what concerns you, nothing is better than Maruti.

My dad purchased an Fiat Palio car in 2002 & boy a what a pain in a** in servicing that car & as well as horrible after sales in fact i can write an bible on that two aspects & after approximate 5 years of use with 66000KM we finally decided to ditch that car in favour of Maruti Swift & it is still an extremely reliable companion whether in city or on the highways.

Actually the t-jet version is more of a sports type car than a passenger car. It is a real driver's car with superb handling, punchy performance, good cornering and all that. So back seat comfort may not be expected.

i have test driven ivtec city and t jet ...different engines... in conclusion, ivtech city is the better car, driving dynamics is better specially at high speeds ..due to stiffer chasis... comfort is greater than t jet..less noise and more refined... but yeah t jet is torquey ..but city againg is elegant and overall a better car.
