I keep seeing that sign language theory. My only issue with is that the fire literally burned his arms to the bone. Unless you mean to say that he got the prosthetic arms and learned to manipulate the prosthetic arms into understandable sign language *before* his voice healed, that really doesn't make any sense. Its not just that Fizz isnt ableist, hes also partly deaf himself. You'll notice imps dont have ears and its been basically confirmed thats one of the things their horns are for. Um... I think the horns thing is a stretch. Fizzarolli's horns aren't that much bigger than the child's at this point, and so he shouldn't be able to hear any better that him, especially if he has them covered up constantly. I don't think it was ever confirmed that he's hard of hearing, or that he ever was, even though it would make sense. I personally think it's also a possibility that Mammon had him learn sign language for the sake of communicating with a deaf audience, you know, to maximize profits. Hell, I'd be surprised it Mammon didn't take steps to appeal to as many people as possible. Either way, I think you're reaching a little bit. I think their ears work on bird logic.

not so fun fact, when an imp gets hurt real bad, the scars turn their skin white. the fire basically bleached him, apart from his nose cus he had a clown nose covering it. he lost his horns AND limbs in the fire. its also how Blitz got have his face bleached. Backstory, canon. Fizz lost his limbs and horns in the fire. Horns for Imps are their ears. Fizz was unable to hear majprity of things post loss of horns, thus making Fizz hard of hearing. The fire also destroyed vocal chords, rendering him mute. Once he got prosthetics, he learned sign language to communicate. It took years for Fizzy to relearn to talk, and grow confidence enough to talk. What broke me w this episode was how relatable Fizz is. The anxiety. The striving for perfection. The need to fit in and not stand out. The need to look and be exactly what everyone needs and wants. I broke down and cried. So hard.
