40s to small. I run that trail on 32s on my sammy no problem. That's my favorite trail in Big Bear. Walter looked like a buddha. 😁

How cool we come to my stomping grounds. I have a cabin in Johnson Valley. Just go to the end of rattlesnake and turn right. Go 3 miles and you're there. I know mottino well. Here is something you will find hard to believe. I saw a guy in a fj on 35s do mottino. No joke. That was some mad driving skills. I also have an FJ. There's no way I can get it to make mottino. Anyway welcome to the big bear area. Looks like your people are in Baldwin lake area. I bet they have some fun trails in store. Like dish pan and the garden of Eden. Also I love your accent where is it from? Scotland?

Tough trail, ran it last year it chomped my friends driveshaft, from there it turned into a speed run to get back around before dark. No spotter, losing light was stressful AF but we made it back but had to leave his Jeep overnight

Wow!!! Those days are always fun and happen to the best of us! Lol I literally experienced a similar experience and it can be frustrating but fun at the same time! Sounds to me like you have to go back and show the trail who is boss!!!

One Motto is not in Big Bear , far from it, its closer to Pioneer Town, and two, its not a hard trail. Jon Bull is much harder.
