Toy review of the Masters of the Universe Origins Cartoon Collection COLLECTOR Airship vehicle and made by Mattel toys. I also show a combination of different Origins, Masterverse and a couple of Classics figures sitting inside the Collector ship seats and on the Capture claws.

Big fan of this one! I just bought a stand for the Roton I'm hoping I can use for this. I also have a hook in the ceiling over my display I can use too so I'm super excited to add the Collector to my collection. Fyi, dental floss works well for "invisible" diy in-flight projects. And I forgot to mention, cool new intro! It's awesome to finally see Adam truly hold his sword aloft. That wrist hinge should come with all future Adam/He-Man releases.

Thanks for watching as always! I'm happy you like the overall looks and design of this Collector Ship even though it lacks a flight stand! I think the plug hole in the Roton is the same as the wind Raider. So the stand work on this ship. Yeah, I used clear fishing string years ago to hand things from a shelf or ceiling before. So that's another option if someone wants to put the time in that! I also appreciate hearing the feedback on the newer Origins related intro. I had plans on that for a while. But once the Prince Adam and Cringer two pack came out, I now knew exactly what I wanted to do with the intro for Origins 👍

I'm so excited we finally get the Collector! They flew around in that a lot in the OG series. I usually hang my flying vehicles with fishing line to display, so I'm good with no stand personally. Thanks for another great review!

That's about a great solution instead of a stand. I think it's fun to see this ship added to the Origins line now! I kind of wish it was a bit taller and did add some kind of flight stand. This vehicle is long overdue! It’s probably the vehicle we saw the most in the Filmation series. I think it looks great, although you did a good job of showing a few of its flaws. Still, it’s pretty awesome! It still holds more figures than any of the vehicles, I think 3 is plenty. It wasn’t until I saw another review that I realized the claws extended out and “collected” its enemies. It makes total sense and yet I expected this to just be more of a display piece. I agree, it should have come with a flight stand, maybe even one that’s a bit stronger. The one you showed for the Sky Sled and the Wind Raider look like they might eventually buckle underneath the weight of the Collector. But perhaps a flight stand would have increased the price a bit? Who knows? Anyway, great review as always! ~Damon

Thanks for checking out this Collector video and sharing your thoughts as always, Damon! Overall, it's a fun piece to have in the collection, and it is the biggest vehicle the Origins has made yet. I still wish it was slightly bigger to hold at least 4 to 5 figures or maybe a bit taller so the cover doesn't hit certain figures' heads like I noticed with Skeletor in the back seat. I think the regular Origins work better because of the shorter sizes. I think the most important thing this ship should have come with is a stand with its own base! I just tried the Sky Sled and Wind Raider bases to see if they could fit or work. But it needs a bigger base. Aside from that, you still can just lay it grounded, I guess. But it looks cooler flying. It is what it is! I still like the design overall 👍

This is a fun one! I feel the origin line has been awesome, but very lacking in vehicles. I am seriously hoping for my all time favorite MOTU vehicle, Bashasaurus! It doesn’t seem very likely, but one can hope.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they produced this to be a cheap and fast sell because they know a lot of Origins collectors are going to get it. It's basically a glorified figure case. Kudos for them for making something obscure but they sort of did the bare minimum. There are a lot of play features they could have added and it's a bit undersized, which is probably why the figures don't seat the best. Selling this via retail probably constrained the size and cost. I'm going to out myself a bit, I'm MrUniqz on Cults3d and I have a series of MOTU vehicles I've designed...so there are so many play features and details they passed over that could have upped the fun factor. An actual stand is an obvious one.

Yep, I agree on some of those statements! I think it's neat to get a cartoon inspired Collector Ship added to the Motu Origins line now. But they definitely could have done a lot of extra stuff to this vehicle, like a little larger size, interior stickers, maybe more details around the outer ship, and a flight stand. I kind of view it as Skeletors smaller shuttle version of the larger Collector. But that's not what this toy is supposed to be! It should probably have a little more going for it. I don't hate it! I really wasn't even sure what to expect with size and designs once I heard its announcement! Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts about the overall design!

With a little bit more thought put in, this could have been a knockout vehicle. The seat layout doesn’t seem to work with the chunky legs of the cartoon collection figures but looks like it works a bit better with Origins plus the controls could have come up a bit higher. As mentioned by everyone this vehicle needs a flight stand, they could have just repainted the wind raider one. Good review and appreciate the different figures displayed to get a better idea. I most likely will pick this up but the more reviews I see it, just highlights the fact that a few tweaks could have made a huge improvement to this toy!

Thanks for checking out this after you already checked out some other reviews and hearing other opinions. Yeah it's not perfect as far as the overall design and size. I think it should have been a little larger and come with a fright stand simular to the wind Raider but maybe with a different base style. Also some other interior details like sticker and less awkward control would have been much appealing. The Regular Origins figures fit much better as I showed compared to the cartoon figures that this ship is marketed for. Of coarse depending on the overall figure and armor. It's cool the certain Masterverse and Classics can also fit with the Lid open. But if the ship was just a little larger and taller than everything would work better for all figures. It's not the worst thing and I like having it for a couple figures to sit inside it closed and of coarse on a stand! But yeah they could have done a little extra with Collector ship and it would have been really awesome!

@@hardnine Yeah they are. But the most of the Origins vehicles and cats that were remastered off the vintage ones are a little larger in scale and have more details. We never had a Collector before. So who knows what that would have been in size if it was part of the vintage line.

Yeah, it could have been better in many ways. I look at it as a smaller shuttle version of the Collector Mother ship even though it's supposed to be the Collector ship. Wow that's pretty cool that a few MasterVerse figures can fit inside of it . I myself thought that MasterVerse figures would be too big to fit in this vehicle , but to my surprise a few fit in . Great video review !!!

Yeah certain Masterverse and Classics figures can fit in the front seats with the lid down and three different figures can fit in all seats if you wanted to display it with the top open like they are getting ready to check everything and take off soon. This is a very complete presentation of this “Collector”, which you have presented well. As for the object itself, I would have liked it to be 30 or 40% larger, purple blue like in the series and with a matte finish. Regarding the size, it's difficult to change something, but as for the color, it can always be customized 😁. In short, this first Cartoon Collection vehicle is far from perfect, but it still has its charm and, from what I see in your video, it can find its place in a nice set. Thanks for this video :)

I think it's cool to finnaly see this vehicle in the line for the Motu brand and certainly the Cartoon Origins series. Yeah it's not perfect as far as a scale and colors going back to the animation. Of course it makes sense to scale it down as it was huge in the animation. But I would have liked it to be a little bigger and come with a flight stand. You can always add paint as you mentioned. This whole cartoon line has been a little off with the colors going back to the animation with the figures. So im not surprised with the ship. I'm ok with what it is in hand. I see it as a mini collector flying shuttle that was designed or requested by Skeletor to be smaller and faster than the larger mothership Collector that will ony carry three individuals👍

Yeah I saw that 3d printed Collector! That looked really cool. But if Mattel designed something like that with size and details, it would cost a $100 plus dollars to mas produce. I understand they did all they could to get the price of this thing as low as possible but I personally wouldn't mind paying extra couple of bucks to get the stand as now I need to decide if I am going to use the flight stand with Collector or Wind Raider, when both look much better on the stand. I hope somebody comes up with a 3D model for the Collector's flight stand soon. I am all in with the cartoon line but I am not really sure about the PotP characters... I have a fairly limited display space and my focus is on the Masterverse collection where we already got a bunch of fairly toon accurate PotP characters (including that cool but small Leech, and surprisingly it turned out he was indeed that small in the She-Ra cartoon?!) and I am fairly sure Mattel is going to double up and give us the toy inspired Horde sooner or later in the New Eternia and maybe even triple up with the Revolution Horde, considering we got Hordak and the Motherboard so far. Man, it's hard to decide what to get with all these options!! 😂 As always, great review!

But I also agree about paying a little extra to include a flight stand. I'm gonna look for a loose one on eBay at some point because my wind Raider is using that the one it came with! I'm happy to see the POP figures coming to the Cartoon series. But I'm also running out of space iny collection to put all this stuff without over crowding. I remember reviewing the Masterverse POP leech and noticed he was smaller compared to the Classics or the overall design of the vintage leech, but he is kind of accurate in size going back to the cartoon animation as you mentioned from images I pulled up with him standing next to certain characters in that show. I hope the Masterverse gets the Horde in the New Eternia line at some point 👍

Not bad, a little small, but you can make it work, Mr. Home Arcade was annoyed because he already had a custom 3D printed version that is much bigger (Funny video) My main complaint is that just like the Roton (I have) this also doesn't have a flights stand ? why give us those for some vehicles (Skysled & Windraider, which I also have) but not others ? Mattel is getting cheap, I didn't order this, probably wont, But still a fun video.

Thanks for checking out this review! Lol, yeah I took a look at Mr Arcade review. It was funny. I agree with the undersize size and lack of a flight stand. I think it's ok for what it has to do for the Origins. But it could have been a little better with those extra details and parts! Certain figures and Veichles are hit or miss sometimes with the MOTU brand from Mattel. This Collector Ship is on the lower end for all those reasons we mentioned. But it's still fun have!

Yep! I'm thinking the same thing! I was also gonna drag in the Origins Snake Mountain real quick for a comparison like it showed on the box. But I didn't have anymore space to really set the camera back and put the ship in front of it. Plus the video was long enough with all the figures and comparisons. I think it would have been cool if the Collector was the size of Snake mountain laying down. But then it would require a really big stand for flight! Yeah, those mini figures would work much better in this Collector as far as scale. I don't have any of those figures. I do have a few mini Motu figures that I remember trying on the Origins Snake Mountain in my review to show other options to make that playset look larger in scale. I can't pretend this is a good release of the vehicle. It looks cheap and lacks detail specifically on the paint job. The paint job makes it look so cheap. Maybe I keep forgetting that is a toy and not a high grade sculpture worth $100 and up. But they could've put some effort into it. The claws made out of rubber and paint job is awful. I had to cancel my preorder after seen the final product. Shame because I was looking forward to it. Hopefully a much better version will be release in the future.

Thanks for checking out this review and sharing your thoughts on this Collector Ship! Yeah it could have been a little better with size and details. Many people are comparing this to the 3d printed ones online which look awesome! But something like that today in toy form manufactured with a bigger size and lots of details would definitely go for $80 $100 dollars. It's ok for what it is! I think it should have been a little bigger, come with a flight stand and stickers for the inside. If we get another highly detailed version, then it will be expensive and take up a lot of space.

Epic fail with no flight stand. It just doesn't look good on the Wind Raider stand.

I'm really disappointed that it's not the same color as in the cartoon :( This just looks like an unfinished product to me...maybe they will re-release it later?

Yeah it could have been better. The finish dosent bother me personnally. Most of the cartoon line colors are off anyway with all the figures. I would have liked this to be a little bigger and have more details and a stand. Thanks for watching 👍

@@Themanchlidsimple...it is just not right, when you see it in hand....it is not as it should be, no stickers inside, no correct details on outside...compare it with some 3D print models it is just poor...maybe some coloring will change it, maybe. Thanks for rew

@@edism3 Yeah I saw some of the 3d printed models. They are really cool looking. I can definitely say that if this ship was designed to look like those with the size and details, then it would probably be a Kick starter project or sold as a preorder through Mattel Creations only for $ 80 to $ 100 plus dollars, simular to the Origins Snake Mountain with the size and details. I'm not sure if most people want to spend that or even have enough space now from what I read in the comments with more MOTU figures coming out.

@@Themanchlid size is ok, just little more details and another colour it would be much nicer, that would not change the price, maybe 5$ more or less it is not deal breaker...someone will make custom of that for shure...but do we rly need custom figures in this days :) same story with HE-MAN...as I can see they (Mattel) do not want to make a perfect figure...Masterverse HE-MAN heads are just bad, biceps also...and we have classics from 10y ago that are almost perfect...so they know...something else is going on :) maybe they will relese masterverse filmation line...now you can spend more money :)

@@TheRickster. No I didn't! Sometimes these Mattel creations figures in hands on ebay early. But I haven't seen any. I'm honestly not looking. I'm happy to get this for nastalgia and to match against stridor like we did as kids. But again it's mostly a Stridor repaint and I'm not spending $200 dollars on ebay for one early. I'll wait for 18 at Mattel Creations! Are you going for one buddy?

@@Themanchlid I will get one cos Jitsu is very lonely lol I love they added a Snake Mountain based too. I did have Stridor as a kid and I was pissed, my cousin had the cool Atak Trak and I had this lame horse for Christmas. I never seen a Knight Stalker back in the 80's

I think this vehicle should have been a little bigger, come with a flight stand and interior stickers. It definitely has room for improvement. I look at it like a little shuttle or something.
