I was taught to apply lube to thw inner surface of chain as centrifugal force forces product outward, by applying to the outside you're more likely to get fling. Just a thought!

You're correcting a lube manufacturer on how to apply their stuff? I'm sure they did plenty of R&D and found the differences to be minuscule to worth applying the lube to the inner surface.

There’s literally no difference to the inner or outer, centrifugal force is the same

The apply must be in the laterals of the chain where the union and movement is done. Not in the center of the chain.

That's not Factory Line chain lube. Factory Line chain lube leaves behind a white coat.
