As an artist in many different mediums it just kills me to see so much wonderful art & books sitting, collecting dust and worse, mold! Art is ment to be seen and appreciated, this is so depressing. The tiles on the wall in the kitchen and washroom were really nice and even though everything seems to be falling back to nature they are in incredible shape. Thats quality. The painted portrait of the little girl seemed as if her hands were not quiet finished. But paintings that could be repaired, tapestries, linens & laces to that you find in these places are all quiet valuable. Family photos, absolutely priceless. To see them being left to mold.... heartbreaking.

Your niece/nephew was in the hospital and you brought in a camera so they could say hi. I'm proud to be part of a community like this. You just keep putting out amazing content! Thank you so much!

What a wonderful narration and the beauty of this once tranquil home is still evident. After being a very young widow for three years walking out to never return is truly more thought out than people would believe. How a lovely romantic fairy tale turns so grim is utterly saddening. Great show guys💜.

Beautiful châteaux. Amazingly spared real vandalism. Here in Britain that would by now be a derelict property destroyed by kids. Used as toy house!! Thank you Dave. France is so much more respectful that Britain. They don’t, for the most part, trash abandoned properties. Respect!

The tweezer things in the dining room are actually Snail Tongs for picking up Escargot 🐌 it is a French delicacy, they're cooked t in herbs, butter, white wine, garlic then use the tongs to pick them up use a long fork or skewer to pick the meat out of the shells...

What a beautiful explore. It's such a shame that all the wonderful things inside are slowly being swallowed by time and nature. Thought you might like to know those silver tongs that you thought were for picking up ice cubes are actually for picking up escargot when it is served in a shell. Just in case you come across them in a future video. 🧡

Can you imagine the cost of those painting today? If he’s as famous as you’re saying, the paintings should be rescued and put into a museum. The table which has all his tools, paint pellet and that table which everything is sitting on, needs to be kept in the exact same way in a museum. This home it amazing.

I don't know much about time periods or renovations so excuse me if I'm wrong but I'm gonna guess this house was built in the 1700's and renovated in the late 1800's and just added bit's over the years to stay up to date with the changing times like the microwave and fridge.

Unfortunately this is a sad situation Based on your info at the beginning, the daughter died and the 2 boys grew up then moved away. And just basically lived their lives until one parent died. Leaving the surviving spouse alone to gradually die from a lonely broken heart. And as always the surviving children cannot or will not come to an agreeable agreement. This house cries for the family that once lived and laughed inside its walls. Because now its left lonely and uncared for so it dies as well. There is an old saying a house dies when the owners and family dies or leaves.
