I watched the movie and found it to be the most poignant story that captivated me in every possible way. I loved it and am totally saddened that it only got a 3 star rating. Bravo to this man, his wives and the children he bore through them and the generations that followed. Wow!

It a miracle! It would have been great to learn from him, how he planned everything and what mortar did he use, and so on. Everybody should build at least a small castle, for fun. :-)

Have you see the word capture on the building "ALLAH et ses gardins de delices MOSQUEE"? That mean in English is "ALLAH and keeper of the MOSQUE His pleasure" Is the owner of this building a Muslim?

No. Postman Cheval copied what he saw on postcards and magazines he delivered. He wasn't probably not aware of the meaning of this sentence. The owner of the building is the town hall of Hauterives (since1994.)
