He's lost the use of his left side. But God is good. Thankfully, it wasn't his right. He's separated from the Church so I pray for his full recovery and his return to the Church. @Sweet Caroline You really are sweet for caring so deeply for your brother's healing, both physical and spiritual. I offer a Hail Mary for his reconversion to the Mother Church and one for you for strength to continue interceding for him for that intention. I too have a brother who has an evident spiritual calling but is totally hijacked by the world, the flesh and the devil that it would take the kind of miracle JESUS performed when He cast enough demons to drown 2000 pigs out of one man whom everyone else had given up on, as he could not be restrained by any means invented by humans!😭😭😭 I keep praying that kind of Miracle for my brother because I see no other possibility for help for him. But as The Archangel Gabriel said to our Blessed Mother at the Annunciation regarding Elizabeth who had been called "barren" having conceived in her old age by GOD's intervention, "For nothing is impossible with GOD." (Luke 1:37). Mary Mother of The Church pray for our brothers and all those separated from Holy Mother Church to come back to a saving knowledge of Christ. When I was a child praying was so easy and happy...today as an adult fully aware of the evil all around us, praying is much more hard because of distraction and the awareness of Satan in our society and of the behavior of his "woke" followers including those in key positions all through our government and institutions and the knowledge that so many of those that profess to be Catholic are not. The battle is intense because we see that our country is more sinful than Sodom and Gomorrah and our Catholic faith has been infiltrated at the highest levels. Regardless we know that in the end Our Lord triumphs and I and all the true faithful who repent of our sins want to be with Our Lord so badly. We will endure.

That scripture passage really spoke to me. The story of the monk was also insightful. We should realise that being left alone in an isolated place abandoned to our own inner dialogue is no picnic. Silence opens us up to the presence of God but also brings us face to face with our inner selves for better and for worse. Add to that the voice of the evil one as even Christ experienced in the desert and you have an epic struggle. Thanks for another great talk Father!

This holy monk was engaged in the intense battle specifically because he was striving with all his faculties to not only become holy himself but to engage in spiritual warfare to bring as many as possible to salvation. Therefore, he engaged in battle with the destroyer of souls! He was called to this and could not go AWOL. We live in a time when we are under vicious attack by the destroyer of souls. All of us. We are all pilgrim soldiers and we must engage in this battle. We were born to a time such as this. It is a time of horrible sin but also extraordinary grace. So practically, what do we do? Our Lady gives us five simple practices that if adhered to will give us the grace to go into battle and place us under her mantle where we join her in sure victory since the battle belongs to the Lord. Here are the five weapons of war. Prayer from the heart especially the Rosary. Monthly confession. Frequent communion in a state of grace, daily scripture reading, and fasting. Our Lady has said extraordinary graces have been given to the prayer of the Rosary in these times and these graces will lead us to the other four. Each one is vital and life giving. Fasting brings our bodies and desires into subjection to our spirit so our lives become well ordered. Scripture forms our minds to the mind of Christ. We grow in understanding how God sees things. Through the sacraments of frequent confession and communion we are purified and strengthened spiritually to grow and remain faithful and persevere to the end. Jesus said “He who perseveres to the end will be saved”. So we can’t quit!! We can’t flee! And it is so tempting to flee! I pray that none of us, myself included, will flee. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

@Cindy Mc Dont forget to have a Crucifix near where you sleep, and don't forget to wear a Saint Benedict cross/Crucifix. And try listening to an hour of Gregorian Chant/Exorcism, before going to sleep! We found it online and it really charges up the whole house in a good way. My favorite is actually the Gregorian Exorcism, I didn't know that's what it was, and I was playing it for hours the first time I found it, and it drove Michael nuts.🤗 He got me back this last Lent and played it for 90 min., after I told him we should quit it after one hour, since I was getting really charged up and bouncing off the walls with energy and I wanted to settle down so I can go to bed before 2am.💘🙏💘

It is an unrelenting daily battle with the forces of evil. Over the years I've learned to talk daily with Our Blessed Lady asking her forgiveness for when I fail and for strength and grace to continue the fight. Believe me it helps a lot. Daily Rosary recital is also a powerful weapon. Unless we do these things the devil and his demons will take more souls to hell. Let's stop them! Never give up - pray, pray and then pray some more. The world needs spiritual warriors now more than ever.

Thank you for this timely video. Prayer is my mission, it is why I am here. Living an interior life is most precious to me. I am in battle, everyday, it ebbs and flows, in that its easier some days. I am learning to surrender to His will. Even when I don't know what? His will is..or worse, if I know His will, but don't like it. I still have to let go and surrender. So true. I used to suffer a lot when I had expectations of a good and peaceful, loving life. Fortunately, I woke up decades ago to the reality that life is a boot camp and a minefield. It's also a "refiner's fire". Of course, just as in most wars, there are times when we're given a break, R&R, rest and recreation, to recharge our batteries and heal bruises. Thank you for this, Fr. Mark. When there are times in my life when I’m particularly struggling with certain battles, and I feel overwhelmed by them, I try to think of St. Therese of Lisieux who conquered hers with a childlike trust and abandonment in the Lord. He knows we are weak, and are like dust, but I believe he won’t allow us to be lost if we cling to him with the supernatural faculties we’ve been given, namely faith, hope and charity, and particularly the last one being the strongest power on earth!

Beautifully said Father Mark. This is utmost truth but only the bravest choose to go it. Many lukewarm or even lazy Christians never see the glorious victories the lord offers because their too content with remaining unchanged. That's the reason there's saints among us, those who dared go the extra miles to demonstrate to others. I encourage all to run the race until their revolutionized no one would even know the whole new person anymore. Amen.
