I remember an epic battle when charging 327 men by myself with a spear and a horse. I managed to kill a lot of them, but they killed my horse. I grabbed my 2handed sword, a horseman ran after me, I jumped towards him while swinging my sword and killed him. Then I grabbed his horse and got back to the slaughter. I won.

I don't understand people's obsession with graphics. I first played this game in 2019, and i found the graphics OK. It's obviously far less detailed and realistic than today's games, but so what? Graphical realism is a tiny factor in determining how fun a game is. In fact, i find minimalistic (less detailed) graphics more immersive, since it leaves more to the imagination. If graphical realism was important for immersion then fiction books would be terrible.

My longest Game in M&B Native was 1700 ingame Days. :D I joined the Veagir and because I only had a piece of land in the snow, I conquered a weak Khergit stronghold, but it wasn't on the border with Veagir, but rather right on Rhodok/Swadia. Every few ingame days it was besieged and it took a long time until I was able to defend it on my own. And every time the message came or I had just defended the castle, this relaxed music played and it felt like a brief moment of peace. Traveling the world with my comrades, training the army, trading, managing countries.

It's from an era when game companies had to do things by trial and error. Taleworlds was literally a start-up found by some newly graduated students, there were so little budget, yet they tried so hard to make the game they wanted to play, and they did. That's why it's so unique. I discovered this game when I was 11 and now I am 22, I still play it from time to time. Nostalgia hits hard, nobody gets me except Warband community. ''uncertain homestead'' is really the right track to play, when your soldiers have just gone through a weeks long Campaign, fighting devastating battles and complete agony during their march through a Vaegir- tundra and you're finally allowing them to rest in a friendly city... I hope that (Taleworlds) will also implement an exhaustion system in Bannerlord, that makes an army less effective when it's exhausted and facing another battle. It's an aspect that came to short in Warband, i think. You just paid them and they were lucky, which isn't realistic at all, i guess, because you could literally march for months sometimes and as long as food and money were available, they kept going and even if they were exhausted, they still performed the same way...Seemingly without any sleep or rest. It would also make garrisons more reasonable, as you could interchange fatigued soldiers with fit ones.
