Ai, when not debuffed by having certain restrictions, is terrifying. The code doesnt have to move its screen around and click on things, it can micro everywhere if it was coded to (which is exactly what we're seeing and why Tom had such a hard time finishing it off)

@@SoakieCat im not so sure about age of empires A.I. but with generals I have played that game since I was 6 and the a.i. makes the exact same base template depending on the difficulty everytime and never has enough units to beat me but when it has units it is good at micro.

I feel like one of Tom’s troubles is he constantly destroys like all his emitters, but I’m not sure. Still, keeping like one in a certain place instead of moving them all when done sounds smart.

Well, he needs to move his forces around because he only has so many ERNs to use. If he kept them there and they weren't doing anything the AI would just keep pushing slowly and then eventually nullify them. Tom's real issue is that he doesn't have enough focus on one particular spot, so he ends up looking everywhere and not doing as much as he could.

I’m not saying leave them all behind, and half the time he has to make a push, but leaving a part exposed cause he just... stops creep generation that side of the map isn’t super ideal either is all I mean. But again, I don’t really know if that’d help since I’ve never played the game

Hahaha That was great at the end when he figured out that he could attack the main base. I really love this gamemode. I find it very honorable that he doesn't just call Kremlo to come down and destroy his enemies. Because Kemlo came from space it would be a local call.

In creeper world 4, mesh basically lowers the terrain in top of it for creeper flow. Putting too much of it makes it hard to expand off of it and hogs the creeper backlog.

I've played this map. It took me HOURS. Didn't help that the level creator REMOVED THE PLAY AS CURSOR FUNCTION AND DIDN'T CHANGE THE TITLE....

Some remarks on the Strategy: - Attacking a hill with even a token Emitter is realy hard to do. 1 Emitter on top of any mining or otherwsie strategic hill, would reliably deny it to the enemy. You would have a hell of a time gettting back up there, so just keep them there as a strategic investment - You need to deny important parts of their resource production, like the mining, redon, blueite, and AC breeder ones. The average ground? Not really that important - if you alreayd got a bunch of emitters and are fighting guns and mortars (not AC in relevant amount) it is better to add 1 crimson then another 1-2 Emitters - Spores and similar attacks that deposit creep can deal damage to things drowning in Anticreep. There will be a short lived "column" of Creep, until the AC negates it. Enough to deal 1-2 gameticks of damage. If you keep dealing a bit of damage regulary, even a riftlab under meters of AC will die eventually

There was an emitter nearby, what happened was he broke the barrier and the AC came flooding out, overwhelming the emitter and giving them space to rebuild. After that, it's just the AI doing what you can do with a massive energy surplus.

Please use stashes in these creeper maps! They output more creep than they need input, so when in deep creeper, they make much more than an emitter!

It's so funny watching him play this game now. Like he had no idea that emitters were kinda useless the whole time since there was a creep cap. Not realizing that he could just blob the base. once he was at the end he just needed to surround the base with emitters and mesh. Then destroy the m rift and all his new creep would be at the front instead of the back. it's such a different game watching him play maps now. I don't think he'll ever take more than an hour on the game ever.

Maybe, but then the death spiral would be even *worse*. Tom already almost lost after making good progress, imagine if one of his unit-building-things had been locked down for a long time, causing him to have less resources, which might mean he lost another, and so on.

I played this map aswell, it's actually a bad map. The AI is just ok, but it's not why it's so hard. The creator of this map put the creeper limit way to low. When you reach creeper limit, all creeper stops from spawning. It's in the bottom left the bar with the arrow next to it, every time the OFF lights up red no creep is generating anymore, which is constantly in this map.
