Mount Etna in Sicily, the largest active volcano in Europe, has been blowing spectacular “smoke rings” into the sky since Wednesday. The "volcanic vortex rings", a rare phenomenon that is generated by the combination of rapid gas release and the vent shape, spewed out of a new crater that opened on Tuesday on Etna's summit. #etna #etnavolcano #mountetna

@@billrobinson198 Bro, you're genuinely just watching the video at too low quality, or just blind idk, every single close up is very clearly a real and still live video of the smoke rings moving in real time. The much wider angle shots are sped way up, but they move very slowly at this scale in real time, and they're moving in real time in the close ups. They are also all very clearly rotating in the video, and even tough some of that subtle rotation is hard to see, you can totally see the ring's changing shape, getting thinner and thicker ect. There's several that are still in a larger plume of smoke as well, and you can see those pulling in the smoke from around them as well. None of these are still images, none of these are phony.

I used to live in a small village called Misterbianco and could see the volcano perfect from my window. It erupted multiple times when I lived in Sicily, but it's not violent enough to cause concern. Even went on a school trip to the volcano. I remember going into a small shop and purchasing a box of rocks and minerals collected from the volcano. Nothing like the destruction of Vesuvius. I miss Sicily.

0:54, this last one's incredible, you can see the structure of the inner vortex with it lit up like that, and you can see just how fast it's rotating as well, I couldn't even begin to give you an estimation of how fast it's rotating but being able to see it so clearly is amazing. It really is a shame that the bit rate and over all quality of the video it getting in the way of seeing all the details though, the original footage must be truly something incredible to see.

Does this volcano usually do this leading up to an eruption? If so then it is a sign of "this volcano's" impending eruption. Not sure how destructive this one gets though, don't hear much about this one causing much damage like you do the ones that cause all the devastation and major evacuations in places like Indonesia , Iceland and Guatemala in the last 10 years or so. I am sure if any of those volcanoes that caused major destruction would give any sign that they are about to erupt again, those areas would be evacuating quickly.
