Cool area. A little bit Medicine Bowl Peak vibe. With the weekend storm rolling in the summer/fall hiking season may be officially over. Always enjoyed your content and have a wonderful break

Mirror Lake was true to it's name. Nice hike.

When I first laid eyes upon Mirror Lake, I had the same thought.

I've climbed Comanche from that side, and it is much more chill than the Emmaline lake approach. Also feasible to pop over to Fall Mountain and then regain the trail at Mummy Pass (if they ever reopen that). Haven't been up Ikoko though--neat summit. Doing a loop around Mirror is nice, too, especially the smaller upper lake.

When we were on top of Mount Ikoko looking over at Comanche Peak, I thought it did look easier from this side too. Yeah it would be a long day, but you could hike a loop up around Mount Ikoko and Mirror Lake, head over to Comanche Peak and come back down that way, or go even bigger and grab Fall Mountain too.

I loved this. Great video. I haven't hiked to Mirror Lake yet. This would be a good time of year to do it, without the intense summer sun baking you through the burn scar. Happy Birthday(s) and Anniversary to you both!!!

Thank you so much, we are definitely going to enjoy our time off for celebration! Mirror Lake was awesome. It is really beautiful up there and I agree, this time of the year in Autumn before it gets too cold would be a great time to hike it. It's about 6.6 miles out to it, but you start at 10000 feet elevation at the trailhead, and yes you go down some on the trail and back up, but not too much, and the lake sits at 11020 feet. Not bad at all.
