This is literally one of the most causal, but absolutely insane videos out there. I hope everyone knows what was accomplished in this video. THIS IS INSANITY. So sick.
@colterfpv9 ай бұрын
not discounting anything here, but many of the fifty videos are similarly or more insane. cody is a beast, but this being east coast does make it so much more impressive.
@PatrickHennessey17649 ай бұрын
@@colterfpv I’m a huge Cody fan and totally agree he’s a beast but the fifty episodes are a whole production, this is such a casual video. When I first saw this I thought he had taken a different route and the skin in was closer to 13 miles. But either way 10k vert after the 5 runs he did I don’t think you can argue it’s pretty insane
@tjanson9 ай бұрын
@@PatrickHennessey1764 you were right the first time. Round trip according to Andrews's Strava was 27 miles 10k ft vert. At least half of that breaking trail. It's a gnarly solo day, for sure. Congrats to Andrew from such a baller day in the mountains.

The effort just to get to the top of Katahdin itself is a major feat in those conditions, let alone the incredible skiing and ice climbing.

Holy breakable crust Batman! You don't see your average hack skiing this shit. This is really strong skiing; crust, sastrugi, wind slab and narrow. Full value, nice job!! Good music too.

From where I usually ski (powdery Massif du Sud), we can see, on clear days, the huge Kathadin Massif about 150 km south. What a place in the middle of Baxter. It’s already tough ones to ascend Chimney couloir, Cathedral and and Knife Edge in the summer, but you skied that just like Bliz of Aaahs would do it, back in the days. Major… respect and thanks, from Quebec Appalachia. 💪🏽

I grew up in Maine and now live a short drive from the ski areas of the Wasatch in Utah. I think Katahdin still scares me more than most of the mountains in Utah, hard to say why. I guess it’s still pretty prominent and very remote.

So we climbed Boott Spur in NH instead exact sane date as when it said this was climbed.
