Hiked a half mile of this while in Alaska this summer. Turned a corner and a bear cub was checking me out. Time froze, I said “Nope, no, no buddy, no.” and tried to work my way down. It’s not a trail you can walk backwards on.

I live in Alaska and when I ran high school cross country, a lot of people ran mount marathon before the season always one of those fun crazy Alaska runs another similar one would be the Juneau Ridge Race looking to do it this coming summer

Up is pretty much one route with a bit of deviation. Downhill you do have the option to go two different routes on the lower part. One is longer and not as steep as the other.
