Mount Nemrut and 2000 years of historical heritage

In the 1st century BC, Mount Nemrut was founded by Mithrades Kallinikos I of the Commagene Kingdom.
Many historical monuments on Mount Nemrut have survived to the present day.
There are sculptural bodies sitting on the armchair at a height of 10 meters with Mount Nemrut turned. The heads of some of these statues were separated and rolled down.
The names of these statues are Apollo, Mitra, Helios, Hermes, Tyche-Fortuna, Zeus, Oramasdes, Antiochos, Heracles and Ares. These statues represent mythological gods.
Right and left of these statues are eagle and lion statues. The eagle and lion statues are responsible for protecting the gods.
Located in Kahta district of Adiyaman, Nemrut Mountain is 2150 meters high.
The path is beautiful.
There are nice small hotels and hostels when climbing the mountain.
After a point of climbing to the mountain for a very small fee, such as 20 TL, services take you to the top. Shuttle services carry visitors to a distance of 5 min.
Post climbing a bit of a tiring 20 minute walk. But the walkway is built in steps.
You can stay as long as you want. The sunset is very clear and wonderful then the service brings you back whenever you want var There is continuous service. I like it very well. The atmosphere is very nice. Of course, because I did not know the history of amateur video I just shot a good time.
