I've done Mytikas and it's beautiful, but be careful! It's not so easy for someone without any climbing experience and has claimed quite a few lives from people who didn't even know they were scared of heights until it came time to climb down.

I was scared when watching this, but when I was finally there, it wasn‘t as scary as it looks. You should have some hiking experience though!

I don't like all the unecessary risks they took. The list is long, but I'm glad they're alright!

Hi friend, thanks for posting this. I haven't seen many videos that record so much of the last part to Mytikas, even though I'm sure there must be some. I am planning to reach the Mytikas peak in July and I've been going back and forth for a while now about the equipment. Some people argue you should not try this without head gear, hiking boots, poles etc. I am not an experienced climber by any means, but this is also the reason why I've been skeptikal about buying all this equipment just for a hike. Did you find that at any point all of this equipment would have been necessary, or were you pretty comfortable and confident the whole time? Ideally I'd try this just with hiking boots but I see a lot of people wear gloves too. Would you see gloves would make a big difference? Thank you!

Did you end up going? What did you decide, gear or no gear, and how was the ascent/descent? About to make the trek myself and I've had the same questions you asked; any advice you have would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance

@@theeccentrictripper3863 I just did this summit a few days ago. I brought absolutely nothing but an extra layer of clothing which I ended up being very glad I brought, and about 3.5 liters of water, I ended up with about 1L left. Oh and I brought some crackers but I recommend bringing something tastier... I would recommend bringing a helmet though for rockfalls. Any other climbing gear is purely a waste of space and dead weight, you definitely will not need it. Could use sticks if you want though.
