Mount Shasta - Glacier Seminar & Climb, Hotlum Glacier

Shasta Mountain Guides Glacier Seminar I - July 22-25, 2021
We parked at the Brewer Creek Trailhead, hiked to camp.
The hike into camp was a little steep and involved some scree and talus. The NG TH wasn't accessible so we had no choice.
Attempted to summit via the Hotlam Glacier
Basic skills covered: glacier travel, knots, anchors, self-arrest, etc.
Mostly review for me, I just wanted to climb. :)
Didn't summit due to low snow levels and a lot of crevasses.
Was mostly clear but became really smokey later in the day due to some nearby forest fires.
