Mount Union's game-winning drive to advance to 2022 Stagg Bowl

Down 3 with just over three minutes to go, Mount Union drove down the field, converting on fourth down and securing the victory with a 3-yard touchdown run by Tyler Echeverry in the final minute. With the win, Mount Union advances to the 2022 DIII football championship game, known as the Stagg Bowl.

@@NBAforlife8 The “experts” and fans alike can say this team or that is going to win, but the game still has to BE PLAYED and ANYTHING can still happen. Will North Central be favored? Absolutely. Does that mean they will automatically win? Game still has to be played.

@@NBAforlife8 Which team should be there then? You sound like a guy whose favorite team either didn’t make the playoffs or lost in the playoffs. Isn’t the winner of the game the team that has the most points when time runs out? Whether you feel Mount Union deserves to be there or not, doesn’t matter to anyone but yourself. Never heard of the deserve to be there rule in football. Let me know which rulebook section that rule is in. Can be ANY LEVEL of football rulebook. When you find it, let me know which one you found it in. They had the most points at the end of each playoff game and by rule were declared the winner. You are correct about not being a genius, you just need to know that the winner is the team that had the most points when the game ended. Doesn’t matter how they got them or when they got them during the game. Beginning, middle, or end or how they got them, luck, skill, or combination of both.

@@NBAforlife8 What happened to that at least 3 TD win? That’s why you play the game. Although they didn’t win, the Mount D held NCC O to a season low in just about every category.

Wow. A football playoff. Like all of these students learned about in high school and, now, only if they go to certain colleges can they play it out, on the field. Wow. A college football playoff-! JUST IMAGINE-!
