Awesome video Mischa. It is very fun to see these procedures in real life use.

Thank You, from Australia. Can you please show a map of your area in general and some mountain peaks names?

Hi from 🇬🇧, Great videos, does your iPad have a power supply from the chopper or is it powered by just charging it as per normal? do you keep a power bank charger for backup etc. Just wondering for longer flights etc.👍

another great vid... question from me.... once you are HIGE, will powder affect the power requirements to maintain it?
@PilotYellow7 жыл бұрын
Yes the soft powder is a little bit like water. The air gets absorbed into it a bit. You don't get a full in ground effect over water or powder snow. The blowing up snow doesn't effect it but the soft snow on the ground does.

Awesome as usual Mischa!👍🏼 I'm looking forward to my introductory flight with the local school over here on the island. Anything that I should do/prepare for before the flight? Would you recommend it now in the winter or more in the summer?

Hi I'm not associated with Mischa or his flight school but I am a CFII down in south Alabama. (watch these videos because this guy is an amazing instructor and I hope to be as good one day). Either way performance is better in the winter due to the cooler temperatures (lower density altitude) I would suggest an intro ride ASAP anytime is a good time to fly as long as weather and health permits. I would also suggest doing an intro ride before anything else from that point the instructor will give you guidance for the program that their school has in place. Such as books to buy, getting a medical, student pilot certificate and so on. Good luck and have fun! There isn't a more challenging or rewarding career!

What dose the 100% power mean? Could explain for us newbies?
@gillesdarcy36957 жыл бұрын
it means the engine is at the maximum of its capacities (power and torque) considering there are two people, lots of fuel and that they're flying high (less power, less lift)
@nezuminezuminezumi726611 ай бұрын
100% power(FLO indicated) in the cabri at this altitude means your engine is producing as much torque as it can. The throttle is fully open. If you try to raise the collective more, your rotor RPM will begin to decay, you'll produce less lift and begin to sink. At lower altitudes(below 3000ft) where there is more oxygen.100% PWR means you're reaching a point where you can over torque the transmission/driveshaft by taking more collective.
