Mountain bike Montafon: New Heilbronner hut and Kops reservoir

By mountain bike from Schruns to the Neue Heilbronner Hütte, with a detour to the Kops reservoir. This is quite a tour. First it goes to Partenen, then briefly over the Silvretta High Alpine Road, from which you turn off again shortly after the toll booth. From there, a road closed to cars and motorcycles leads steeply up through the forest into the Ganifertal valley. Here the trail initially runs flat across an alpine pasture, but then becomes really steep until shortly before the Kops reservoir you turn off into the Verbella valley or continue to the reservoir.
The path into the Verbella valley is quite pleasant until you reach the Verbella Alpe. Immediately after that follows another very steep section. After a nice ride through the upper valley, the final climb follows to the Scheid lakes and finally to the Heilbronner hut. The hut is a stop on the famous Albrecht route for mountain bikers from Garmisch to Lake Garda. Rightly so, because the view from there is simply fantastic, see also the webcam of the hut:

The video also shows the descent back to Schruns with a short detour to the Kops reservoir, which was filmed a few weeks earlier. While following the descent, you can enjoy the views of the beautiful landscape and also get a good impression of the course of the route.

Dankeschön 😅Irgendwann musste das mal funktionieren. Beim ersten Versuch über das Silbertaler Winterjöchle hochzufahren bin ich bei Gewitter doch lieber nach St.Anton abgefahren.
