Not enough people include badass climbs like this in their videos. Looked like a blast.

+martinsteele05 You kind of have to when you're doing switchbacks on a giant rock slab. Don't see that too often :)

I'm a flatlander from Central Florida. I wouldn't even stand on some of those edges much less get on my bike! This video scared the crap out of me! Beautiful country! Thanks for sharing this video...

Sick ride! I like the tight corners and exposed areas. I'm headed back in a few weeks. Gonna check this out. I grew up here, but none of these trails were around back then, and the bikes weren't that great (pre '92). I'm fixin to rent an Intense Carbon Tracer T275 for a few days and leave my Maverick ML-7 at home (easier to rent).

Hey Paul. It's the most fabulous Surfin' on Heroin by Hamilton, Ontario's The Forgotten Rebels. Thanks for watching... and listening! :)
@stefanfriedemann38735 жыл бұрын
nice video. i went to see the Rebels in Toronto back in 91 or so damn. heading to sedona next month. rode hiline last time, thinking about hangover... the exposure has me a bit freaked for sure. how does it compare in difficulty to hiline?

Awesome riding man... too much technical exposure without enough speed payback for me but that was some impressive bike handling in a few spots there.

Ok...this is not the bunny slope! Great riding man...I think I might stick with a cold Chelada for my hangover.

Better yet. Have a cold Chelada after riding this trail! :)

Dude, this video made me decide to travel to Sedona to ride this trail. It looks badass! If you're ever in the El Paso, Texas area, you've gotta try our trails. Grueling uphills and fast/dangerous downhills. Enjoy your ride!

Dude, this trail is badass! El Paso has sweet trails? Good to know! Thanks for watching and see you on the trails :)

Great video. I have a sister who lives in Sedona, AZ. That terrain is like nowhere else on earth. I bet it's great for mountain bikes. Canoes?...maybe not.😊

It is crazy terrain! Such a feast for the eyes. Re: boating. I remember a river running along Oak Canyon (?) that had some whitewater while driving by. Not sure on the flows but it must run after a good rain as all the rock would just funnel it down to it! Thanks for watching!
@lawrenceporter37238 жыл бұрын
Kudos to great riding, I did this for the first time a few months ago and (as you know) the video does no justice as to how exposed this trail is, and how high some of the drops are that are around 9:30 plus on your vid.
@BenAylsworth8 жыл бұрын
+lawrence porter Thanks for watching. You're right Go Pros flatten everything and this trail is def exposed. Need to manage your pedals! Miss this trail. Really enjoyed this one. Need to get back there.

awesome video, badass trail!!! how long its this trail?
@BenAylsworth10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Albert. It's quite short around 3 miles I think but takes a fair chunk of time. At least it did for me. Plus there's decent ride to the trail head, can't remember what that's called. Thanks for watching!
@drvanski9 жыл бұрын
Amazing vistas at the top! That descent...kinda scary, no? Is that your bike or a rental?
@BenAylsworth9 жыл бұрын
***** yes stunning trail. the descent is def steep but super tacky- was a little stressed cause I was alone but tires hooked up quite nicely. a good argument for tubeless! that is my own bike a Pivot Firebird. i LOVE this bike. thanks for watching :)

damn bro , you get around don't ya...what mount are you using for that gps ?
@BenAylsworth10 жыл бұрын
I have been very fortunate this past year taking a month off to go ride the bike.... YOLO ;) The GPS is Garmin and the handlebar mount is the Garmin 1/4 turn mount. It's about $10 and haven't lost it yet... knock on wood! Thanks for watching... this trail is awesome btw as was the Sedona area. Try to get there if you haven't been.

Wow, what a Short Travel bike *Sarcasm* hahaha, Nice! Im planning a trip to Sedona and want to ride all those trails, I have a Santa Cruz Blur Trc with a 130mm 32, do you think that will do the trick? Or will it be a sketchy descent?
@BenAylsworth8 жыл бұрын
lol As long you drop your seat for that steep section you'll be golden. Have a great time. :)

Quick question for you man, how did you get the GoPro to be so still? In all my videos it shakes like a Chihuahua that has to piss!
@BenAylsworth8 жыл бұрын
+The Triarii lol... I strap it pretty tight and I spend most of my time out of my saddle when things get rocky. Plus my bike is plush like butter :) Although I do see mounts that use gimbos now and look super sweet. Never had my hands on one though....
@1722gman8 жыл бұрын
+Ben Aylsworth Being a skinnier guy I have the mount as tight as it can go and it still shakes like you wouldn't believe. If you check a couple of the videos on my channel you'll see what I'm talking about. It's all enduro style dh so I'm out of the saddle and half the time it's still hardly decent. That does bring up a couple more questions though What bike do you ride? What GoPro do you use?
@BenAylsworth8 жыл бұрын
Try putting some foam (mini-cell closed) underneath the chest mount to fill the space and allow you to pull it tight. I ride a Pivot Firebird and I'm using a 3+ silver I think. You?

Any tips on uploading gopro videos to youtube? I am getting lots of blocky and blurry spots in my videos and I see none of that in your videos. Im shooting with a gopro hero 4 in 720p60, editing in gopro studio
@BenAylsworth9 жыл бұрын
Lot of factors can mess with your uploads. -Firstly in the recording. Sedona stuff looks great because it's so bright out. Full sun no trees. GoPros suck in low light. Yes even the new ones. So they compensate digitally not optically. That means after you've exported and KZbin has uploaded a ton of compression has occurred on your already compromised footage. That's when you see the blocky shit. -Second export settings. I don't know gopro studio but ideally you want to export at the same settings as KZbin uploads. Typically H264. But do a quick search on best export settings from KZbin for GoPro Studio. I imagine there's some one who's answered this. -Third as noted in the first point KZbin compresses the shit out of your material. Even when watching in 1080 you're seeing a vastly inferior product. Which is a shame. You say mine looks good. I say it still looks like shit. KZbin has not updated their quality in a long long time and many other players are better. Good luck!
@BenAylsworth9 жыл бұрын
***** I shoot 1080 @ 30. I don't know what superview is. Don't think my inferior model comes with it. But the answer is always more riding! And more shooting and cutting won't hurt either ;)
