I gotta say your skill level has seriously increased since you filmed this. I'd probably say mine is where yours was here. Maybe less. But it's cool to see where you came from.

Time in the saddle is the only way to go about it. Also, windrock is still the steepest gnarliest place I've ever ridden, downright crazy. I wanna go back now to see how i fare.

@@BlindstuffMTB I bet you'd do a lot better. The gopro never does it justice though.

Looks like you used every bit of you suspension on that last trail! Great job man!
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Had to bump up 10 psi just to make the fork feel ok, I was using most of the travel in every run lol

Thanks for the vid, man! I'm studying up for my trip to Windrock later this season.

Glad you enjoyed it, go shred Windrock, its an absolutely awesome place.

That was pretty sick. Keep slaying the trails Dude and keep the rubber side down! Ohh by the way I think the EVO s doing great. So, like I always say, Live-Life-Loud!!!
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Had a blast on these, super challenging. I'm really happy with the EVO until now, I've gotten really good performance from it. Love your motto btw, live life loud indeed!

Absolutely loving the videos! Keep up the great work man, wish I could go to some downhill parks down here in south florida.
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, glad you're liking them! Yeah, its too bad its such a drive to the mountains, but considering the incredible flatness of South Florida, we have some superb riding here.

WOW!! Windrock is no joke. I can't imagine what the Cat 1/Pro section must have been like...and at my skill level, I'll never know. :) I'll be adding this one to my list and will be checking into an Enduro rental bike.

Windrock is stil the toughest, steepest, most unforgiving place I've ever ridden, and it is soooo much fun. A day there teaches you more than a month of riding anywhere else lol.
@Bigbenhandyman19847 жыл бұрын
boom! Amazing job bro! haha, glad I got to shred some trails with ya. Video never does it justice. Its insanely steep in person.
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Awesome to get to ride with ya as well, gotta get some practice in at Markham once the noah's ark situation stops. Video never does it justice, its really hard to understand just how steep it was, some of the data off Trailforks ridelog said some parts were -55% grade. Absolute blast, gotta go back some day.

Great vid as always! I'll be headed to Windham Mountain Bike Park in NY in July. I think it's tamer than Windrock and locals tell me my 130MM Scott Genius would do fine on the green and blues. I think I might rent one of their DH Demo 8's though. Might be more fun not worrying about bottoming out the whole way down. I'll be putting up a vid of it for sure. What's your next rig???
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Enjoy Windham, look forward to the video, the ones from Oleta look good. If you have the chance to rent a Demo 8 go for it, its so amazing how a DH bike will just bomb through anything you point it down. If you're doing a couple of days, get the feel for the place on your bike, then rent the monster haha.
@blakcloud25617 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Only have one day so just going for it, though I'm driving up there so my Scott will be with me. Might do both. Again, what's the new bike you're getting? I expect a bike check video with explanations about why the Trance went and the new girl came in! lol
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
I'll definitely do a video once it comes in, I went with the direct to consumer route :). I absolutely love the Trance, I switched bikes mostly because I wanted a bike with longer reach as they fit me better.

BlindstuffMTB was that a "double blue" trail? ha ha

lmao, windrock is without a doubt the steepest gnarliest place I've ever been. Went back a few weeks ago, but I couldn't record with the rain.
@peaohvee17844 жыл бұрын
Tips for windrock... Steeper than you think, bring the biggest baddest bike you own, add fork pressure(you'll need it) and pray to god you'll make it to the bottom. Also. bring extra brake pads, even though going less on the brakes will make it smoother
@BlindstuffMTB4 жыл бұрын
Still the most brutal place I've ridden. Can't wait to go back.

Can a Coleman ct200u go to windrock or is it just for dirt bikes and mountain bukes
@BlindstuffMTB6 жыл бұрын
I have not ridden the dirt bike trails to be able to tell you, the mountain bike park does not allow anything motorized though.
@tedclev6 жыл бұрын
I have to ride this now! How much front/rear suspension did you have on this ride?
@BlindstuffMTB6 жыл бұрын
Still the steepest place I've ever ridden. So much fun! This was on my 140/140 mm giant trance. I wish I would have had more, but its not really an issue.

How long of a drive from Miami is this?
@BlindstuffMTB7 жыл бұрын
Unfortunatley, around 12h, its worth doing if you can spend a few days up there hitting different spots. Once you're in Knoxville there is A LOT of good stuff in a 2h radius.
@joshgibson48867 ай бұрын
can you ride a hardtail here.
@BlindstuffMTB7 ай бұрын
You can, but it'd take a badass rider to be comfortable. I'd recommend renting a DH bike at the park if you want to try it out.
