Interesting idea. Just FYI the tool you are using at 2:22 is not meant to be used as a pump. If you put the receiving container below the container with the liquid in it and pump once or twice the rest of the liquid will syphon out on its own.

Forgot to mention 2 other things. There was no mention of sanitizer use at all. And, really if the creator was honest he knew it tasted like crap from the way he did it. He should have let them fully ferment. That would increase the alcohol more. Then prime the yeast again and cap. 2oz of warm water to melt 2 tbs of sugar added to ea batch. This would wake up the yeast again and become a 2nd fermentation. Thus adding a little more alcohol and being capped would create cO2 carbonation. But, not enough pressure to explode the glass. Then refrigerate and enjoy later. I’ve been making beer and wine since 1990. 100’s of gallons of premium beverages. Think I know a little by now ;)

True that it will be less sweet as some sugar is lost during feementation. Therefore in order to make it sweeteer use stevia or tablets of aspartame. Dont add sugar, it will explode.

Please do not ever transfer something by pumping like that. Those devices are meant to initiate a syphon so as to minimize air contact (and introducing vinegar producing bacteria). Also, heating on the stove top will drive off co2 and some volatiles so you get a better flavor (and you can chaptalize- add sugar - to get more alcohol while it is hot).

It can make a product that can make you sick. The addition of acetobacter can increase acidity, ruin flavor, and make the consumer violently ill rather than buzzed. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. I love the video. I love the idea. I am surprised that the yeast would ferment to dry given the sulphite load in most commercial sodas. Yeast also benefits from aerated wort, so a few violent shakes right before and/or a few minutes after pitching can help with fewer off flavors. I enjoyed the video, glad you made it for us to enjoy. Not trying to be negative about it at all, just some tips from a very experienced homebrewers. Thanks for the video
