I am absolutely enamoured with these little critters. I've been watching SO many reptile videos lately, but after learning about these guys... I just want to know everything about them. Gorgeous, goofy looking, and down right cool. 💜💜

What a unique species! They are relatively new to me as I only found they existed like 4 months ago

What is the best temp. to incubate the eggs at? Just needing to know since I'm planning on getting a pair. I'm in the process of building a bioactive terrarium with a waterfall in it for our living room.

Do you know if MHD subspecies can successfully breed with each other?

If you handled them for a long time like over a year and tamed them down do you think they would be good to bring to Petco?

There is a wild caught one currently at my local Petco and it’s horns are still intact which is shrouding because they typically fall off during transport from the wild. He’s the coolest lizard in the whole store very friendly and loves to be handled . unlike any other wild caught Reptile I’ve come across. Everytime I go in there I feel bad for the guy so I believe I’ll be setting up a super tall enclosure for him to live out his best life.

I have one , but he acts awkward his super chill and layed back he don't bite or anything , super awesome to handle , but super hard to feed , i still haven't learned how to feed it , sometimes it would eat and sometimes it would just sit or perch on the branch and not move for a long time! Is this normal? And when I walk up to the cage he just stares at something , he don't move as much as i would like for a lizard to move :P it seem like it's frozen in time LOL PS: It does swim really well when i take it to bath in a water !

They are known to pick a spot and just sit there for hours/days. My trio are a pain to feed. 2 will only hand feed while the other one will only eat crickets and refuses to be hand fed.

Great video. I ran across your videos while doing some research on good lizards for bigger terrariums. I just got a 36x18x36. I have a trio of captive bred coming from two different sources. I appreciate your videos on these guys. There are not that many videos about them and you have great info. Hopefully I can get mine settled and see if they breed.
