It's so...brown, and therefore excellent. Apologies if I've used that stolen joke before. The small cozy scale and cheesy retro decor is really intriguing.

This place is fantastic. I HAVE to visit when I do the small drive to Dollywood. I absolutely love the different small murals on the elevators, small staircases and odd escalators. The smell of dirt, leather, and wood is definitely here. Thank you 🙏

Oh it definitely smells exactly the way you’d expect, leather wood and candy.

One of the fountains used to 70s - 90's have an elaborate series of pully driven buckets that would fill up at the bottom of the fountain and carry water up to the very top and dump the water into a very elaborate series of water canals made from wood that had interesting waterfall features as it flowed back down to the bottom. It was mesmerizing. It probably needed serious repair and the fountain you see in the video was a triage to keep it somewhat functional.

It's funny, at the start I was like "Gatlinburg has a mall?". But yeah, I've been there several times as a kid, just never thought of it as a mall for some reason. That tall mill statue thingy IS a really beautiful piece of art work. Unexpectedly Zen. Excellent work. Love your channel, thanks.

You are welcome, I really appreciate what you all are doing in regards to a dying American legacy of retail. I will be 64 this year and I have many fond memories of Chapel Hill Mall and actually worked there in the Woolworths Harvest House as a teenager briefly.@@UniCommProductions

Can I make a confession? I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and one of the biggest reasons I come to your videos while I like seeing malls dead or alive I love your voice. You have such a great kickback chill voice so I mainly come just to listen to you tell me about the mall you’re going through, I know sometimes in life, we can feel insecure about a thing such as are voice, but just know yours is awesome
