This song has a real “sitting on the porch in the early morning, sipping coffee and pondering the direction of your life as the sunlight comes streaking through the leaves” vibe. It’s like the anthem for anyone who’s put 60+ hours into Stardew Valley. I love it.

Lyrics to this masterpiece: [Verse 1] Seven o' clock and the traffic has stopped On the street outside his office It's a sea of red and white On the boulevard tonight But he's in no rush Doesn't care so much 'Cause there’s no one waiting at home His empty bed reminds him everyday There's no one left to love you in L.A. [Verse 2] Morning awakens him It has taken him Away from the illusion of happiness Here where the ground is not as safe as it may sound You couldn't have guessed By the way he was dressed But he should have been at his office desk His boots, they had a different tale to tell A story of a bittersweet farewell [Verse 3] Alone in the wild He pondered and smiled With his new life right beside him He walked off to find a place with nature's poetry and grace With each passing step He was doing his best Not to look back to the west And say, "I'm never gonna miss that town at all I'm never gonna miss that town at all” [Verse 4] A few days’ time And he started to climb Up the California mountain That he dreamed of every day Before he up and went away Reaching the top, he decided to stop His eyes did close, his bags did drop Onto the ground where he would make his home [Outro] The soft and fertile ground that was his home A mountain man has finally found his home

Bold of you to assume that traffic in LA stops at 7. I'm from the mountains in northern California and currently living in LA. This song hits hard, the city is soul sucking for a tender heart like myself.
@josephlabarbera6537 Жыл бұрын
I think the point is that the traffic hasn't stopped in the sense of traffic being over, but in the sense that the cars are not moving. Hence why the mountain man is "in no rush."

thank you, brian although we've never met, you've been there for me through so much through my highest highs and lowest lows, you were there, bringing joy, peace, comfort, and rest when I needed it most watching you grow and learn and try new things has been incredible. as you joined polygon, produced unraveled, gill & gilbert, the pokérap and so much other incredible content, as you left polygon, and began to strike out in a new direction, making content with things unique and new, as you continue to produce bdg at its finest. still unashamedly and amazingly and incredibly you. and although we've never met, your presence in my life means more to me than you will ever realize you have shaped the experiences of thousands of people around the world (and even in sweden) and you have made the world a better place for it. so, from all of us to you, brian, and for myself, i want to say, sincerely thank you

Change a couple of pronouns around and this song makes a lovely metaphor for a transgender experience - feeling trapped in a place where you feel love can't be, and making a journey of self discovery to find a new home and new identity.
