I remember in the early 70s hearing this track playing in a local record shop and I asked the counter guy about the band. It was on a Japanese import so pretty damn expensive but I just HAD to have it! Years later I went to see Leslie West play at a small venue in London. What a blast that was!!

They actually played this live in an era where everyone pretending to play while the radio recording was used. And he might be the only obese rocker in 1970 as everyone else was skinny from all of the drugs they were using, especially uppers. But man they sounded great here!

Mountain was very underrated power trio. Leslie West w/ his great guitar work & vocals along with the powerful rhythm section of Felix Pappalardi on bass & Corky Laing pounding the skins like no one else (& Steve Knight backing on Keys) 3:26 All their stuff is pretty awesome.
