@LiamMoynihan2 жыл бұрын
Yeh all the racers would prefer a bit more tape. We were all aware of some of the huge shortcuts that villoni did but actually before the start of the race all the top riders from the first few rows had a hand shake and agreed none of us would do the massive shortcuts completely away from the path but that the little ones on the route of the path but just between corners were kind of fair. Shame to hear some riders still did the huge ones over the grass for a long time after the discussion at the top... Damien who won didn't do them and neither did Alexis in 2nd, myself in third or Olivier in 4th so that was nice fair racing. Damien fully deserved the win and same to Alexis for the overtake for 2nd. Fully deserved and well raced!

so there are like some full tires on the market right? does anybody use those?
@LiamMoynihan Жыл бұрын
Hi! What do you mean by full tyres? Most folk use double ply downhill tyres which are pretty sturdy. You can also get tyre inserts which are like a foam insert inside the tyre, some people use those. I'm personally not a fan of inserts. They are good if you have a flat as you can still ride pretty fast on them but they dont feel that nice to ride on and in my experience they are good for helping to avoid rim damage and flat tyres that way but are actually worse for tyre sidewall slices. To me the best combination is a really good quality wheel and strong tyre.
@jebise1126 Жыл бұрын
@@LiamMoynihan ah ok so foam inserts are on market... i saw video that said some full rubber tires also exist. that is tire that you dont pump at all. i just wonder if flat tire in such competition is common enough that something like that would be considered big enough advantage
