The light from the gates is a masterpiece. Really feels like those moments in an rpg when your stumbling upon some ancient castle or temple created by a lost civilization, honor bound to fulfill an oath and quest for the king as a humble knight, with the light rays peeking through the stained glass.

circle of faun, benath the graves of my brothers and monks of the moon are my favs. also the slight call back to horn of the goblins in brass key with that base roll. beneth the gravs of my brothers hits so hard. I just imagine an old knight or cleric standing over an old graveyard where his freinds and his former adventuring party stood. the snow billowing threw the rotting trees as the shadowlorns curruption spreads. "And here they lay..my brethren..each who sought to change this world in their own way...the halfling cleric her face so full of life..her faith so real so strong that it was like a physical wall, between us and the darkness of that cursed place. The gnomeish fighter so proud so unwilling to back down that all of hell itself would not be able to crush his sprit. He would fight against the world to stop the paleing, that old curse of the first world that pleauged his kind since time imortal.(the gnomeish curse in pathfinder that turns you into a zombie husk the longer you live. ie the fate of all gnomes) and the orcish bard..none would think a brutal ruff man such as him could sing with the soul of a thousend lesser men. But now they lay here..below this cold and unforgiveing snow..unaware of the world they left behind..their struggles and their storys at an end...no longer shall they suffer the rot of this world..and never shall they be forgotten. But we are the liveing..we have a duty to continue liveing. and so shall we. until phrasma judges the final soul and grotus consumes time itself shall we live. and so shall we fight.

Extreme Metroid Prime vibes to the "Fallen Kingdom" track
@grillonbleu4 күн бұрын
“The Shadowlorn may have fallen, but much remains to be done. If the kingdom is to rise again, order must be established. This is no time for squabbles. “I will not return the crown. As First Knight and leader of the vanquishing party it is natural that I take over. Shalazad will oppose this. He may have been one of us and some pretend he was key to victory… but he is a magician. He has grown too powerful and has always been disturbingly insubordinate. “I did not choose this role. It is my destiny. I sacrificed much. The cowering populace owe me their lives. They will sacrifice much as well. Conscription is necessary to muster the forces that will banish magic for good and raze the eldritch forests. Shalazad's death will send a signal. Coal and steel will usher in a new, bright, clean era.”

They left sanctuary at dawn, when the panai fronds had not yet shed their night's burden of dew. When they passed the stone circle, its altars stained dark in the rain, their clink of harness scared up wild deer from among the bones. At fifth bell on the second day they saw the broken funeral towers above the pines: teeth nipping at the tail of the forest. Toadstool groves and tentacled lichen had claimed the barrows. They made camp beneath a witchcap and Hroldir set the wards while Sildar donned his mail. By moonlight the crypt opened and robed figures led Sildar down into the earth. At dawn the warrior returned alone and handed Daethe a heavy bronze key. Suddenly, light flashed from the arch of the crypt. Maiq put his thumbs together and raised his fingers wide. Daethe knelt and unslung her sanchan to bring forth a casket of worn wood, its hinges and iron hasp weeping rust. A shape like shreds of shadow stood forth from the arch. Hroldir spoke in Elvish and the shadow turned to her, its eyes two points of ruby fire. Daethe jammed the key home, turned it, and spun the casket so it faced the crypt. The shadow raised its hands as Daethe raised the lid of the cask. Within, upon velvet rubbed smooth by time, sat a bronze circlet barbed with emerald stars. As the spirit reached for the crown, Sildar drew his sword.

Bro, when I listened to this album, I went with my dwarf friend to the catacombs that are located under the damned cemetery, where we wandered for a long time, sometimes meeting skeletons in rusty armor. After some time, we found a chest without a lock, my dwarf friend was happy and ran up to the chest. It turned out to be a mimic, he bit off my friend's hand. I took my spear and pierced the brain of the mimic through the mouth, pulled out the bitten off hand, wrapped it in roots hanging from the ceiling and made an offering to the god of decay so that he would not touch my friend’s hand. We went to the doctor.
