The Eira pass is an alpine pass in the western Rhaetian Alps, located at 2208 m a.s.l. in the duty free area of Livigno.
The pass, which is located on the Foscagno state road 301 between Livigno and the hamlet of Trepalle, is in the immediate vicinity of the ski lifts of the Livigno ski area.
At the pass there are some refuges and a chapel dedicated to the Madonna della Pace.
The Foscagno pass is an Alpine pass in the western Rhaetian Alps which connects the Livigno valley with the Valdidentro and Valtellina.
The pass is located at a height of 2,291 m a.s.l. and can be reached via the state road 301 del Foscagno.
The pass represents the only way that allows you to reach Livigno without having to go through Switzerland (through the Poschiavo valley and the Forcola di Livigno or the Munt La Schera tunnel).
Val Viola, a mountain bike route of great scenic beauty, valley dominated by the mountains that form part of the Cima Piazzi and Corna di Campo group: in fact, in an uncontaminated natural environment, the Cima Piazzi (3,439 meters), Cima Viola (3,374 meters) and Cima Dosdé (3,280 meters).
A mix of fascinating paths, from the flow path to the mule track with alternating stone slabs with a soft undergrowth bottom, beautiful views of the Cima Piazzi glacier, the Viola lake and the fabulous lake of Sauseo, the tour ends along the ancient path of the Guardian Angels .
The Bernina pass is an alpine pass in Swiss territory (2,330 m asl) which connects the Poschiavo valley with the Engadine, separating the Livigno Alps (north-east) from the Bernina Alps ( southwest), both subsections of the western Rhaetian Alps.
Val minor
This itinerary starts at the valley station of the Lagalb cable car and initially winds around Piz Lagalb.
First the path climbs for a short distance, then continues relatively flat within the Val Minor. Here marmots are not a rarity, the whistles are constantly heard or animals are seen disappearing in their holes. The flora in this valley is also beautiful and luxuriant. Further along, you will follow some lakes, until you reach the Lej Minor. On the opposite side there are still galleries, where metal ores were once extracted: in August they can be admired with guided tours. But venturing without a guide is risky and therefore prohibited. After the Fuorcla Minor you cross a steep slope, suitable for those who do not suffer from vertigo and have a sure footing. After this stretch, you can finally calmly enjoy the landscape and the view of the Piz Cambrena. Continue at a relaxed pace towards the pass road, always staying at altitude until the route descends again towards the valley station of Lagalb.
Passo Forcola di Livigno (2,315) is an alpine pass located in the western Rhaetian Alps near the Italian-Swiss border, crossed by the road that connects the Italian municipality of Livigno (in the duty-free area) and the Grisons one of Poschiavo.
