If you look at the possibility of spellcasters only allowing to do one ranged attack a turn like others, the ring becomes less oppressive.

But the damage output is off the charts. A good roll can really turn the tide.. for 30 pts

But if you banned the ruby ring, you also have to review items in the books. The hagtree fetish is also really good for low amount of points😅 and so on

@@RCDRIFTRONIN Nah, the Hagtree fetish is fine, because you can only use it on a shaman, and it only really shines with one spell, so you have to actively put it into play. The RRR can just be stuck on any character and do big damage.

Yeah, it's "overpowered" if no one brings level 3-4 casters to dispel. Lots of things are overpowered if your opponent doesn't bring a way to deal with them.

Lucas call to not charge the eternal guard is probs the right one, UNLESS you are really down and need some lucky combat to pull through. Either way, it would be nice for us viewers if at the end you rolled a hypothetical combat with saurus charging to see how it would have gone. Understand that you're tired at the end of course but would be nice. Great bat rep as always. Also your explanation of why you play core hammer at the start was great, but it's kind of reduced because Steve then always takes ruby ring (best magic item in the game surely). Either he needs to stop taking that crutch in corehammer OR Luca NEEDS to take it as well. Like how much work did it do that game? How many elves (looking at you light calv with no saves) would have died to it if Luca took it. Would steve have positioned his wizard in range more to dispel, therefore affording more dispels oppurtunites to Luca? That 30 point magic item is really dictating these games.

Ruby Ring of Ruin really feels like it needs some limitation like the wand where it breaks if it rolls a double 1. That thing is sooooo strong for 30 points.

This BP editing style is my favorite, also Corehammer seems cool. I just wish all WAP units and factions would be present in TOW, this game only lacks this to be perfect.

Luka is entranced by our making noises and knowing what eachother mean by it. Homefully some of that includes "get this man a snickers!"

would it have been worth it to give your glade guard fire and flee and do that when charged by that block of warriors?

I wonder: since Hawk eyed archer does not work with ruby ring AND a Character hit by shooting attacks can make use of "look out sir" (if he is in a unit with 5 or more blahblah).... is Hawk-Eyed Archer pretty much useless?

He can pick off solo wizards but averages out at doing 3-4 wounds by turn 5 so unless you're taking him as a tax to bring way watchers, he isn't really worth it. Now if we're talking rule of cool and/or narrative style games, he's one of the best in the book! Hopefully he gets a glow up when the wood elves get their book later in the year.

Steve, I know you have rebased about a gazillion miniatures since TOW came out, and fast and easy was the idea, but this dessert bases look quite out of place with the wood elves

Always great to see the legacy factions on the battlefield! Core hammer as a format doesn't interest me that much, it's a bit too one dimensional. Great tool to teach the basics though.
