I think it is clear dwarf March 8” when near a cart. Cart’s rules state that in the command phase dwarfs within 6” +1 to their movement characteristic for the rest of the turn. Therefore at the start of the movement phase their movement characteristic is 4”. Then in the movement phase they March which doubles their movement characteristic of 4” to 8”.

Yes, but a dwarf king without a Rune of preservation going against the pointy ears is a very unprepared dwarf king. We are writing down the grudge anyway.

no one complaint because we lost the +1 when charging.We want to be charged in most cases. we complain because we do not have anti-magic , we do not have warmachines ( for the first time since the 5th ed that i started), orcs wood elves and empire can OUTSHOOT us , and everything is expensive af. They changed a lot of things but took some strengths we had and gave us others. I do not believe that the arcane journal offers something more than the grand army for a competitive army.

Royal clan army is pretty strong in combat - if properly mustered. Luca did not master it properly, thats it. Two grudge throwers are fine, but lack of Irondrake support and the use of a big irondrake unit, instead of 2 smaller ones is pretty questionable. In royal clan army You can make some solid stuff - very good clandwarfs - hammer and anvil tactics. 4*4 dwarf royal clan clandwarfs with a rune of battle, gromril armour, hand weapon and shield, plus stubborn is a pretty solid block. Add some shooting and this block can weather most things. You should be able to shoot the real threats down/whittle them at least. Then You have hammerers and gromril great axe dwarfs to dissolve the enemy.

This one was a little frustrating. Making up a nerf to the dwarf cart when the rules are clear was strange. I get Luca is the heel, but be fair to the man. Especially if you're taking triple save elf lords for goodness sake.

Caledor II was the one that shaved the beards. edit is the Prince a warden or a Loremaster? Because only the warden gets killing blow but can't cast spells and it is a skill he gets it is not on the sword itself.

Dark Elf X-bows can't be taken in units of 5. Dark elf stuff can only be taken in min. 10man units. also they don't have regiment and detachment rules.. (T_T)

I can't understand why you guys think Fanatics weren't nerfed in the FAQ. They went from 3 Fanatics to 10 Gobos to 1:10. I think the max you used to be able to take in a meme list has dropped by a third.

Meme list was never the best use of them, and you can still take the same number of gobbo units and the same maximum number of fanatics per unit. It's not a meaningful nerf.

Gyus, no Rune of preservation on the Dwarf lord is pretty awkward. Against pointy ears that is doubly so. The irondrake play was also very questionable. I do not understand the reason for playing them in such a way. Thank you for making the report anyway.

For the movement argument, there is only one thing that needs be said. If the cart modifies the characteristic of the unit, then the M3 becomes M4, letting you match 8. Of it's +1 to movement, then it's 7. Page 97 of the BBB: "Modifying characteristics The rules will often call för a characteristic to be modified. To do this, simply add or subtract the modifier(s) shown to the characteristic, effectively increasing or decreasing the value." And under Marching it says a Marching unit can double it's movement characteristic.

Can't edit on phone. XD It does not say base movement, or unmodified under marching or under movement. Since you've modified your characteristic to 4, then do the marching maneuver, doubling your characteristic, you go 8.

Lukas list building is so confusing. Why invest in a beer cart with that much shooting in the army. Decide on your battle plan when making the list. Either stand still and wait for the Enemy, or charge towards them. In the latter case, skip the shooting and go for more troops.

I enjoy the fun lists Luka build. Not every game needs to be 2 sweatlord lists blasting each other. Yes, Steve leans a bit more to the sweaty side, but Luka, even with his odd lists, still gives him a good close game.

I wouldn't say Steves going beardy, it's just that he thinks about what the units are there for. It creates an unbalance when Luka doesn't. They really should have some incentive to win, like the loser shaves their beard, just to make the games more enjoyable.

Why did GW make trollhide trousers and seed of rebirth common items? How fun is it to fight against a character with 3 kinds of saves. I really don’t get why characters has to be hard to kill… and to be honest Steve is a little cheesy to always make those kind of characters in a friendly game. Anyway good game. A classic matchup. It really isn't. It is "dwarfen" in ToW. Idk if it is a legal issue for copyrighting, if they just don't want to mix with Tolkien or what, but. It is spelled like that.

Dwarven is an ‘incorrect’ plural form for Dwarf. Re - Tolkien. In the J.R.R. Tolkien audio portrait he says this ‘Well, there’s a lot of things like that, yeah. Yes, there are some. And of course dwarves, originally a mistake in grammar of course, I’ve tried to cover it up, but…but it was just purely the fact that, uh, I have a tendency to, uh, to increase the number of these vestigial plurals in which there’s a change of consonant, like leaf/leaves. My tendency to make more of them than are, than are now standard. And I find I really thought ‘dwarf/dwarves, wharf/wharves, why not?’

If definitely Dwarfen. If you look at the Forces of Fantasy and every Dwarf book since at least 6th it has been Dwarfs/Dwarfen.
