That's why I think alot of them are purposely dirtied to make more content. Like with the car cleaning videos. Is there really so many people getting rugs cleaned to the point of making a whole KZbin channel dedicated towards it? You'd think if a rug is like that they would just throw it away and get a new one unless it was an expensive one or one with sentimental value.

@@anubisthacutest4752the rug cleaning content creators probably offer to rug owners free rug cleaning if they have decades old rug left uncleaned. Rug owners get clean restored rugs, and content creators get content and thousands of views. It makes for good advertising for them too. And based on the world's population (at least in the west), I can only assumed that there may be thousands of households with extremely uncleaned rugs. Specially since it seems difficult to wash once it's already gotten very dirty. Like, without those cleaning tools we see here, rugs washed by ordinary people won't be completely clean and will build up things until owners just finally let it sit cause the effort of cleaning it feels like a waste. Tho I might be wrong. I live in a country where rugs are rags - just strings of cloth being weaved to form a rug. 😅

I'm taking this one with a pinch of salt. It seems too perfectly dirty, as if someone put some dirt on it and left it outside for nature to do its magic. It takes some time for dirt to accumulate on top of things naturally when left on the ground, and the rug doesn't have any noticeable discoloration or fiber damage.
@stormy8207 Жыл бұрын
@@hermesthegreek5247 How can you say that when there are a variety of weather and soil conditions around the world.
@hermesthegreek5247 Жыл бұрын
@@stormy8207 Because what you're seeing in the start of the video are decent-sized chunks of healthy dark soil. If that rug was left outside, it would have been slowly consumed by that kind of dirt whenever it rained, but it would have been an even coat of mud that slowly increases over time. No weather condition throws dirt in the middle of the rug while the sides are pretty much spotless. That rug completely looks like someone threw dirt on it and watered it everyday over the course of 2-3 weeks, there's virtually no damage caused by time or weather.

I absolutely love your videos, it's so calming and so amazing how a filthy rug can become so beautiful and colorful with enough time and effort. Why throw away something that can be salvaged? Btw, just wondering, how often (if any) do you change the bristles of Mr. Dirt Reynolds and R2-Clean2? Seeing how dirty these rugs are, I figured the brushes get frayed quickly. Keep up the good job

May I ask a couple of questions? How long did this take to clean, and how many times did you have to empty the water trough during the process? You're truly dedicated 😂

In a world where we dispose of everything it is heartening to see refurbishment. Nice job.

I’m here to find out how the “it’s all staged” crowd will find a way to say that you made grass grow on a rug to do a video on it rather than accept you aren’t scamming them.
