Still waiting for a video on the direct drum overspeeding if engine dies or trans is shifted to neutral....or at least a reply to my request/comment. This week I took apart a TH400 and reassembled the drive train on a wooden display stand. Rotating the output shaft did not make the sunshaft turn(and hence not the direct drum). Both planets simply turned with the reaction carrier freewheeling on the roller clutch. If I am missing something, please inform me or else correct the statement about the direct clutch turning 14,000 RPM as stated in a different video. Thanks.

@@mountainsgarage Thank you except I believe there is one flaw in his demonstration. He is physically locking the rear ring gear shaft with the pliers. In reality, no such lockup would occur because the shaft would simply sit and free float with the hub in the forward drum. Correct???
