I thought the same thing about the coins on the busses in Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan is filled with many creative innovations. I love that most people here try to fix what they have before buying something new, & they'll use something as simple as a piece of string... rather than trying to make a fix look "fancy" they create something "functional" that lasts long enough to be well-worth it. :)
