Hey Dan: This is a LEGIT and very high percentage move. You don't have to buy into this at all. There are tons of guys who use this and nail it all the time. The Gangsta lean is basically a modified mount. Your opponent may not give up the arm (see pale rider or compressor). Or in the scramble, you'll get the arm. You set up the GL from the mount and it is REALLY easy to get once you drill it. It is the core of the top game in 10pjj.

Nice move. I've been using a similar variation ever since I started grappling, but this one seems to be much more effective with more control.
@chrism9516 жыл бұрын
that really looks like it would work great and that control seems good as long as you can keep his hand down.thanks =)

if you experiment with the different angles, you will find that you can appy tons of pressure on the neck if you just turn slightly to the left/right. (i know this because i've been put under it plenty of times). plus, you are using all your weight on top of your partner. as for the arm, you can pull the arm up and do a arm bar/slo triangle combination. all you have to do is thrust your hip into the elbow joint. very effective.

Lean your head back to help pin his arm to the ground and trap it w/ ur head and grab his elbow. Trap the leg on the same side, place your opposite hand on his hip or armpit and upa to 12 o'clock NOT to side, then turn to the trapped side as he falls overhead.
@adam2886580016 жыл бұрын
ye there is you can knee or kick him in the back this moves his weight forward then you have to move quickly onto your side whick will help loosen his grip and from there on excape or you can (if u are flexibal) lift your legs up and wrap them around his neck and pull him down sounds easyer then is is tho
@adamrome16 жыл бұрын
how do you sink the triangle in from mount because there is no pressure on the neck, do you jus push the arm across and pull the head? also in the 'gangsta lean' is it not easy to sweep?

Hey you know I watched this for the first time a few days ago, today someone posted a near text book application of this in a Shooto Fight! Look up Hatsu Hioki vs Joe Pearson He didn't need control of the guys arm tho.

reminds me of Demian Maia vs Ed Herman. But then Demian turned him when he had the triangle locked while in Guard. But i guess this could work too haha thx :D

if you're not as flexible as eddie (which is not possible :) ) you can do another technique. you can also NEVER use your hand. if you crab walk with foot up, when I tried this, I didn't needed to let go. its great. try it!

i heard that he has a weak jaw. besides, he might not be an amazing striker. if i tapped a legend, i wouldn't risk my aura of invincibility to do mma either. but either way, he's very good at what he does.
