Loved the feel and attractive Football Poch brought to Tottengam and I hope he does well wherever he goes.. But He had to go. 6 Wins in 24 Games.. That's 18 points out of a possible 72. Easily the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league for the last 3 or 4 years and won absolutely nothing. Terrible Substitutions and No plan B for games. Absolutely fluked his way to a champions league final. He had taken us as far as he could. Mourinho is a born winner. Won more trophies as a manager than Spurs have in our nearly 140 year history.

I take True Geordie's point on spurs making a very2 good decision to replace Pochettino. I mean if you're gonna sack him make sure the replacement manager be a good one. As of now, I think most spurs fans are elated with the news. Now I feel threatened with the fact that his footballing insights are top notch considering the fact that he used to be with sky, he'll be more calmer than usual and be able to decipher teams easier. What a lad. Truely a special one. 👏

The problem with Poch is the fact he willingly accepted Tottenham’s failure at not winning trophies. He even openly came out and admitted winning trophies at Tottenham wasn’t a priority.. What manager says that? The guy had no ambition, how can comments like that inspire your players? Mourinho on the other hand is a very demanding manager and the fact is his resume shows he wins trophies wherever he goes. 100% this is the correct decision from Spurs if they ever want to progress and start competing for silverware.
@dombutler9205 жыл бұрын
Says a lot that Kane, Son, Winks, Sanchez and Alli are the only high profile players to come out and say anything. The Eriksen, Toby, Vertonghen, Aurier clique have really done a job on Poch. Jose is probably the best man to take this squad to win a trophy, but it's a horrendous shame that we couldn't win a trophy with Pochettino. 19 years, 10 managers, 1 trophy under ENIC/Levy. Maybe the problem is with Levy. I will fully back Jose as the manager but it hurts. I think the writing was on the wall at the end of the 16/17 when talk of the project ended. I think he knew he wasn't going to get backed in the transfer market

I disagree with Mourinho’s demeanor. In his Sky Sports mini documentary this summer you can tell how taking time off from football made him have a change of perspective. He’s much happier now than before and much more excited to return to coaching than before. It is also very likely Mourinho will get financial backing. In the same doc, he mentioned he got a lot of offers but wanted to wait for the right one. I think this move is more calculated than random and I think it’ll be great to see Jose in the Prem again.

In fact the squad do not have real (world class) talent but instead have workrate and heart to play for their manager (poch). Is mourinho is the perfect fit? Imo no, because every club he left there is a huge contruction which need to done (eg Alexis contract at MU). Except for the one at chelsea conte era.
