No clue about the exact numbers but still interested So you combined the stone's estimated acceleration and terminal velocity (if it did play a role at all) as well as the speed of sound?
@datmanydocris9 күн бұрын
@@timogeerties3487 Nah, just initial velocity, gravitational acceleration and time. Over that short of a distance air resistance would have a pretty negligible effect and would only alter it by a couple meters, so it's a reasonable estimate to just plug acceleration a, time t and initial velocity u into s = ut + 1/2 at^2.

12:20 octopus! It's squirting water at the cameraperson and dog using its siphon! Usually expels water that passes through the gills, or for locomotion, but right here, it's basically like blowing hard air on someone! Not sure if it's doing that because it feels agitated or just cheeky. Probably agitated tbh

Likely a simple defense mechanism against possible predators, after all a simple surprise reaction can cause a predator to back off long enough for the octopus to escape.

27:48 okay important thing to note. Do you see the sides of the elephants head there? See the dark streak running down? Yeah that's a male elephant and he's in Musk (male elephant equivalent of heat or rut). You stay the hell away from an elephant if you see that, males in that state are pumped full of testosterone and are much MUCH more aggressive. They're lucky they were far back and had the barrier there or they would not have gotten off with just a smack.

PSA: Majority of Americans pay a higher Tax Rate than the Wealthy.
@etank39678 күн бұрын
I'm pretty sure wealthy Americans pay at least 3 times the rate of 90%+ of americans. According to NTU, the top 1% paid 40% of all federal income tax in america in 2022.

@@etank3967 You aren't considering percentages though. Yes, rich people put more dollars into taxes then poor people (duh) BUT the amount that poor people pay is a significantly higher PERCENT of their earnings than the rich. @@etank3967 as was said, tax rate and amount paid are different things. 20 percent of 100 is less than 10 percent of 1000. Additionally, the tax rate on investment based income (which is often a large part of more wealthy individual's income) is taxed at a lower rate than income from wages.
