Being 51 years old and a kid of the 80s, I must say I like the nostalgic sound of much of the music on this channel! It's like an alternate reality if the 1980s split off before there was a Depeche Mode, New Order etc.

My best assumption is that, there comes a moment where you can tell that most of this song try to replicate the 80's sounds with a bit too much of fidelity, to the point that the majority of them sound quite similar when compared. Only stand outs like this track are something "fresh" yet "80's sounding" for me, because they take crisp quality sounds mixed together with the 80's synths vibes. I get that old compressed sounds are part of the aesthetic, but I think they've been overused a bit too much for my personal taste. Late reply lol I know.

@@Dissociare Thanks for the suggestion, and...it's pretty melancholic and almost eerie sometimes. it's an heavy mood shifter, you want to be in a certain state of mind while listening to it ahah, I dunno if it makes sense to you 😶‍🌫. Nonetheless...I gave it a couple of listens and I've heard what the album can offer. It's mostly what I was asking for, even tho it's not entirely my cup of tea, it's pretty unique!

Aspen is by far and away one of the funkiest and chunkiest tunes ive heard in a very long time. This music is amazing and moustache machine are pretty much the same.
