Why is it "iiiii" (5eyes)?
-The Caveman (Intuition): Represents a conversation with intuition, a primitive and instinctual mode of perception, devoid of words and definitions. It embodies a direct and intuitive understanding of movement and the world around us.
-The Spider (Intellect): Symbolizes mastering intellect and the ability to navigate a vast network of possibilities. The imaginary spherical grid of infinite directions present in all parts of the body represents the infinite connections present in our thoughts and movements. It emphasizes the weaving of lines and awareness of the interconnected universal web.
-The Snake (Inspiration): Seen as a creative life force throughout ancient history, it represents inspiration. In my movement, it embodies fluidity, flow, curves, circles, waves, control, and strikes. Everything goes full circle, returning back to the same patterns in life but always with a deeper understanding. This enables us to gain inspiration and information from the same experiences we otherwise wouldn't have gained before.
-The Shaman (Institution): Symbolizes the institution into the self, a framework for living a better physical and mental life. It involves exploration, trials, love, and the ability to channel and manipulate energy for the benefit of oneself, others, and the environment. Buffs for everyone!
-The Alien (Innovation): Represents innovation and exploration beyond our known boundaries. It signifies venturing into the unknown, embracing the unfamiliar, and pushing the limits of what we understand and can define.
These symbols are the different lenses through which I fundamentally experience and engage with the world. I believe that being open to perceiving the world in different ways helps us become more versatile as individuals.
The Movement Dump Project is a journey of exploration in movement art and dance as a form of mental health practice. From the exploration of dance elements (body, space, time, action, energy), to the essence of each movement that make movement an educational art form. Through dancing, we dive into the importance of doing movement in mental and physical education, the health benefits of dancing, as well as the therapeutic value of dance in helping individuals to heal and connect with themselves and others. Through this project we aim to inspire individuals to explore their own limits, creativity and self-expression through the art of movement. Everything is connected. Discover the power and beauty of movement and translate it in everyday life. 😊🙏
