This series is great! Even though I've been playing for a few years now, this is perfect for new players.

I think one of the biggest things about tracks (hardened or bigger) is how they can protect any parts/equipment mounted through a gap in the frame between the tracks. Hardened track, 4x6 frame, fuel tank, 4x6, hardened track. That's a tough fuel tank to get at.

Mr G... just wanna say thank you for your content. I'm trying to get a decent build going. I have a lot of progress to make as I'm lacking a lot of parts. But my builds have definitely improved thanks to your videos - they're helping me! Cheers 👊🏼❤️

i feel you. My 20,000kg build uses a single lightweight 8x4 to hold everything together.
@fiendishrabbit82593 жыл бұрын
1. Omni-wheels are not really wheels. They don't count for any other part that says it requires wheels. 2. Connecting a wheel to two parts on the frame is less important than the combined hitpoints of all parts touching the wheel (or just having more spare wheels connected to other frame parts). Someone fires a big cannonshot at that wheel? It's gone (and both frame parts, because the explosion impacted them all). But if you had attached it to an 8x4...you might still have your wheel. 3. An important part with wheels is size. You might want smaller wheels up front but bigger in the back. It can be used to get your wedge closer to the ground and to fine tune how good angle you have on your guns against forward targets (armored up cannons by two blocks and find that you can't hit things except at long range? Large wheels in the back and mediums further forward and get a few degrees more gundepression).

i completely disagree with the steering in the back only because most of my builds are speed based, theres no curve to learning how to drift effectively with steering in the rear when youre used to torque steering with fixed wheels, other than that go ahead, but if youre a racing nut id suggest against it.

I use to set up like this aswell...once u go 4 front steer, 2 no steer rear..u don't go back...
@MrGPlays3 жыл бұрын
Really?
@Ranzoe8133 жыл бұрын
It's really preference tbh...to me it seems like the rear steer wings me about Abit to much g..alot of my builds rely on cqb or even melee....don't get me wrong the extra turn rate is nice but hardly noticable (except when you oversteer a ram or melee attack). The rear steer coupled w/ 1 or 2 sets front mounts tend to "drift" more and to me @ least seem to control a little more predictable and hardly ever have issue w/ understeer..two sets of front do seem to have a break lock up feature though, tbh it seems a hard break kinda hydroplanes your ride and lock up into a straight slide a little..I guess it's preference though like the original poster pointed out..a race I would recommend this.(4 or more on a side I revert back to rear control or even all steer)

@wingnutmcspazatron39573 жыл бұрын
What is "tonnage" and how does it work?
@fugitiveunknown78063 жыл бұрын
Max Weight: You can't have more weight than this. Limited by frame and engine. It's a hard cap. Tonnage: If you have more weight than this, the number will be yellow and your car will handle like a dump truck. If the number goes even higher it turns red, and your car will handle like a three-legged pregnant yak.
